I’ve been using this for 4 months while we try to conceive. It’s really helping my hair be fuller and thicker. The high quality B vitamins give me more energy. I love that it doesn’t have synthetic folic acid, which I avoid due to MTHFR gene mutation. This product makes me feel great.
This prenatal was recommended to me by my naturopath for my iron levels. I’m not pregnant nor trying to conceive; however, this prenatal has changed my health completely! My energy, attitude, hair, skin… everything agrees with this product! I’m so thankful for it. Lastly, I have two sections of hair that I just thought I could never grow hair in, and I am not kidding, it’s like I’ve grown an entire set of bangs in the past few months. Not even collagen powder did that!
I did a good deal of research when my wife got pregnant with our first, and I believe Thorne has the best prenatal. She's taken this prenatal for her first pregnancy and breastfeeding, and is now on our second pregnancy, so she's been using this supplement for almost two years continuously. We had always been told folic acid is a really important for pregnancy, and the articles and information from Thorne help us understand why their 5-MTHF is a superior source.
I was so happy with this product. Yes, you have to take 3 at a time but after a while I was so used to it I would do it all at once. First trimester I would get nauseous, (not from these just in general like even thinking of taking them made my stomach off – along with eating anything else) so I found having them before bed and then going to sleep worked much better.
Easy to digest and in good bioavailable forms.
I did a lot of research before buying prenatals and this one out did all the others for me. I've been taking it since before I got pregnant and have continued to take it 8 months after my daughter was born since I'm nursing. I trust Thorne's products.
I know I'm getting great product when I order Thorne, and their Basic Prenatal has been wonderful. Labs are on track, baby is healthy, and no other supplements needed. I'm a high risk pregnancy, and so it means a lot to know I don't have to worry about my supplements or lack thereof because I have Thorne.
Before I got pregnant, I was looking for a good quality product that contained all the required nutrients for pregnancy. Many were missing certain ones or the folate was low. This product had it all! I had a hard time keeping anything down my 1st trimester. Now going into my 3rd trimester, it's a struggle to get enough food in due to everything expanding into my stomach and having a very full feeling all the time. Knowing that I'm taking these and meeting the daily requirements helps me know that my baby is getting what it needs.
