This item did come from Walmart, not a third party seller, however what they sent is a different manufacturer number (ending in one instead of six). We have twin boys and also received pink plastic compasses. It does say colors may vary however the correct part number should be metal compass as pictured. This is not the quality that we expect from Fiskars and will be going back. I did see the correct ones in the store yesterday. Hopefully they still have some left.
The compass would not stay in position to form the size circles I wanted. It needs a lock to hold the angle you want while you draw the circles.
I ordered this and wanted the blue protractor and silver compass, I got pink compass and clear protractor. I have a son and he wont use pink in class. And I wont mess with returning such a small purchase. I've pretty much learned my lesson with online purchasing
The item pictured is not what I got. I received a plastic set. The compass was not a spring bow compass. It was a plastic version of what I used as a child. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

The seller I purchased this from drop shipped this item from amazon. The only reason I bought it from walmart was because I needed it quickly, if I didn't care about the timing I could have bought it cheaper from amazon myself. So not only did I pay an excessive amount for this item in the hopes of receiving it before I needed it for a class, but I still waited for amazon shipping times making this item arrive after the class I needed it for had already started. Additionally, the item I received is not the item pictured. It is not worth returning because I need it for my class, however it is worth noting that the item I received is a cheap plastic compass and not the nice metal one pictured.
DON'T BUY! They don't send you what's in the picture! plus they over charge you! will never buy from this company again! They had ne pay $24.00 and didn't relize until after it was to late!
I ordered 2 of these . One for home for homework and the other for my son to use in school . I also received 2 pink ones and also plastic . Not anything like the pictures show . extremely disappointed. My son absolutely won't use them and at this point the dollar store has better . absolutely ridiculous
Picture is deceivingâ not metal/ it is plastic. Not what i thought I was ordering !
Buy this only for the protractor. The compass is crap. I wondered why my son was having problems with drawing circles, then I tried it myself. It's awful! It does not lock in place. Flimsy too.
