My use of the Office Comb Binder is personal. I am a retired Paralegal, and had used Binders previously in legal work. Now I use the Comb Binder for projects in my ministry at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church in Milton, GA, by binding Advent and Lenten Devotional Booklets, the Hagaddah that is used for our Passover Dinners and other projects. I also use it for my ministry in Community of Hope International for all types of reports. This product makes my work look much more professional.
This Comb Binder made it so easy to create Employee Handbooks for our company. At a minimal cost compared to sending to an outside printing company. We can now create professional proposals for our customers and how to manuals for our staff. The possibilities are endless. I can even create personalized scrap books for my family. Great Holiday Gifts.
This is a very good binding machine. I purchased it to replace an electric GBC binding machine that broke on us after very little use. I prefer this manual machine to that previous one I had that broke. It's easier to use and I think it will probably last longer.
The Pulsar 300 Office Comb Binder is a great value and perfect machine for my needs. The machine is light, easy to use and very durable for the price. It does not take up much space and can be easily transported to the office and back home if necessary. It looks sharp and the cover shuts to protect the interior when not in use.
Vertical alignment of pages helps keep the pages at correct position for punch. The machine is working as advertised. The electric punch is saving my arm a lot of work! I would like to see the "on" light visible while lid is closed, so I won't forget to turn it off.
This Fellowes Binding Machine if getting lots of use at our school to make books geared specifically towards our students who are at home at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our students will be able to use these books over and over again! What a great tool!
This system is a must have for making booklets of any kind. I've had it for almost a year and it's already paid for itself. It's very easy to use, and I can make a professional looking booklet in a few minutes.
As the machine is brand new - and my first binding machine - it is very much living up to expectations. I bought the machine to bind text books for the data-modeling technique I teach, and it will save me a lot of money over using three-ring binders. However, the included instructions required a lot of trial and error to get the first one right. I strongly suggest recording a YouTube video of someone using the machine correctly, and including a link in the instructions. I can see that the process is fairly hard to describe, but easy to demonstrate. (For example, the instructions simply say "insert binding comb" but don't mention that there is right-side-up and Upside-down. A video would eliminate trial and error.)
This is a good binding system. I wanted something that would bind up to several pages. I sometimes cut the typing paper I use in half and you need to be sure it binds evenly that way, so I only punch 10-12 pages at the same time though you can do up to 18-20. It's easy to function so I'd recommend it and the price is good too for what you're getting. I'm satisfied with my purchase!
While very pleasing to look at this machine is way over designed and as a result way over priced for what it does. There are design features which are good looking but do nothing for the use of the machine. There should be a means of loading the plastic fingers which did not require practice. There should be a feeder system to feed the paper on to the fingers causing an automatic alignment of the paper to the fingers.
