I use a track ball but wanted a wireless. I got my mouse and thought - what a big mouse so I call it my rat. The best feature is the bezel the scrolls. I am hooked now. I work other places and use a lap top - I find I am missing my rat. I will look for a smaller version. I am very happy and if you use a track ball you will adjust in hours.
Great when plug and play. Plug in nano rec to usb port. Turn on left switch on bottom back of unit sliding to left, on position. DO NOT put right slider to left for bluetooth, it stops unit from working. DO NOT CLICK HIDDEN ICON FOR TRACKBALL. It asks to connect bluetooth. You can use trackball and lower left and right clicks automatically just by plugging in nano and turning on power only slide switch. I f you click on ikon it gives error message. You need to uninstall any Trackball software first tenthe unit works great. I called KENSINGTON Tech Suport (1-800-535-4242 10 AM TO 7PM PST in California to get those steps). They were spot on to fix. The unit works great and precision cursor movements. To add other functions to other keys, you'll need tech support for pay service.
This is a great trackball. I upgraded from an old one. I miss the scroll wheel and don't care for the scroll circle, but otherwise it is great! Would purchase again.
Very comfortable to use since I have large hands. A good buy at the Walmart price.
Better way to config the buttons
Bluetooth feature would freeze up after a short time. Contacted Kensington Support. After a week, they agreed to replace trackball. Followed their return procedure. Kensington in California acknowledged receipt but needs approval from office in India to replace. Called technical support in India and supervisor either lied or failed to follow through on authorizing replacement. Further, I asked the replacement be sent overnight; was told Kensington does not do this. Once authorized it will take 7- 10 days to receive replacement. Doubt I will purchase Kensington products in the future.
Either the software or hardware doesn't work. I installed the software, put the USB device on my computer and turned on the trackball. I got a message that there was no trackball installed. I tried to go on the internet but I was referred to an 800 number. I originally bought a Logitech trackball. I got that running it no time but it was only for the right hand (I use my left hand to control the mice although I am right-handed). I took back the Logitech trackball unfortunately.
