The Blade 450 has pretty aggressive collective response with the stock motor, but with this upgrade motor the response is straight-up VICIOUS! Tic-tocs are tighter and more controllable, and the increased head-speed also crisps up the cyclic response a little. The motor is an excellent value at only $2 more than a new stock motor would cost, and I highly recommend it if you're looking to push your Blade 450 to its limits.

I just intalled this motor in my Blade 450 3D and wow! What a difference, i had to lower the throttle curve a little and the gyro gain, also set the timer at 5 minutes. It uses more battery. I'm running @ 70% throttle and that thing screams! Nice to know i have alot of throttle curve left when i'm ready to bump it up. I also am using the 11T pinion that came with the 440 motor. 3D is alot easier and faster with this motor! Get one!
I upgraded to this motor along with an 11T pinion that comes with the motor coupled with a 30 Amp E-flight ESC which I got from Horizon Hobby. Great combination upgrade!!! Very fast and very powerful.... Yet, very controlled! I would recommend this combination for your Blade 400 Upgrade.
Had lower bearing failure on brand new 440 after less than 10 min total flight time on 450x. Have not even flown 3d yet? Still trying to set trims. Motor ground to halt suddenly. Been utterly dissapointed with this kit. Had problems with gyro and trim settings out of box. Had to wait 3 months for back ordered parts after first crash first flight. Finally got heli repaired and gyro and trim issues fixed for stable hover and lost motor after 10 min total flight?! Went to order new motor... Back ordered!!! Ridiculous!! Never had problems like this with Aligns. My fear is Horizon is rushing these products to sale without testing systems thoroughly for durability. They just jam another model out on the market. Can't afford these E-flites anymore. Going back to Align. Way easier to get parts.
