Easy to set up and it really improved and stabilized my 5g signal. Before my signal on the TV was Fair to good and now it reads Very Good.
Filled a hole in my mesh network
It is easy to install. Start by plugging close to your Velop Mesh Router. You have to do nothing. If the solid blue light appears then it is all integrated and you can move it. If solid blue light does not come on the new location, means signal is not strong and too many obstructions from original router. Move it around. Some time a location farther from router but with few obstructions works better. The firmware updates will occur automatically by Linksys App. LinkSys App will also show your extender as a second router. Everything works seamlessly. However, do not try to integrate with an old non-mesh router.
This is a very easy and cost-effective way to improve the Wi-Fi signal strength and bandwidth further from your router. It works great and is reliable.
It is important to note that this extended requires a Linksys Mesh router to work. If you have that, you can add multiple “child” node extenders to improve wifi signal. This extender shipped quickly, and was factory sealed. No complaints.
Purchased three of these items, one was boxed, questionable the other two were unboxed and no paperwork and items appeared used and will not buy from the seller again! Buyer beware.
Not everything you buy online is in new condition. The item I bought came to my house in a plain reused box. No instructions were included. The item had a lot of ware and marks on it.
I received a dirty yellowed box that was clearly aged and not new. Not the new device I expected! can't return fast enough, ver disappointed.
