I bought this scooter for my wife and after using it for a 13 hour visit to Disney, I was very pleased with my purchase. The battery is long lasting, the scooter is easy to take apart and put together and the 4 wheels gives great stability and comfort. Highly recommend this product.
I was looking for a travel scooter for my 88 year old Uncle that I could put in the truck of my Altima. This scooter is easy to take apart (5 pieces) . It goes slow enough for the elderly and also has a good rabbit spead to go on straight always. If you shoe size is larger than 13 it is a tight squeeze in the foot area of the four wheel. That would be the only complaint I would have.
Ok..I wasn't sure about this scooter but after reading reviews I figured to give it a try. I have had ten ankle surgeries and I sure cant walk as good as I used to so I needed something to ride when my wife and I go somewhere and this is it!! I'm 5'10 and now weigh about 255 with a size 12 shoe and this fits me just fine. I worried about fit and battery strength so when I got it I took off around the neighborhood. After running half down after 1st charge it seemed to get stronger after second charge. I haven't had it to long so don't know how long the life of the battery will be but for now I'm happy and not disappointed!!
my husband and I had always done flea markets until my ankle started twisting in and my back started hurting. My husband got me the spitfire it has put fun back into my life i can go to the flea markets and enjoy going to the malls and much more as long stores are spitfire friendly .
POWERFUL, COMFORTABLE, EASY TO NAVIGATE. EASILY DISASSEMBLED FOR TRANSPORTING IN CAR TRUNK. SMOOTH RIDE IN THE MALL AND AM ABLE TO USE ON FIRST FLOOR OF HOME TO KEEP BATTERY STRONG WHEN NOT USING AWAY FROM HOME. LOOKING FORWARD TO USING IT AT DOLLYWOOD AND OTHER PLACES.
nice little run about 4 wheel transport. easy to put together and take apart. speed control can be set anywhere from a slow crawl to a brisk walking speed. very quiet and stable.
Got this scooter to get around our campsite at our local state park, and to go to relatives sites without my wife having to help and keep me from falling. Does very good job on uneven ground and rocks. Battery life is incredible. .I can go all day and evening without using more than one light on the status indicator. Comfortable seat that swivels and doubles as my camp chair when visiting. There is no headlight but the controls are such I can use a handheld LED light or hat clipon light. No negatives that I have found after a lot of use. I plug it in at night and it is ready to go! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have enjoyed using my new Scout scooter. My husband and I found the directions to be clear and helpful. However, we had a little difficulty the first time we traveled with it in the car. It was difficult to join the motor section and the base. It took effort and persistence.
The product arrives almost completely assembled. The only issue I had was that my brother didn't lock the battery down and it became lose and I lost power. You must lock the battery down before attempting to ride/drive the scooter. Also, I would recommend you buy a side pouch or arm pocket to put things like the battery charger in as there is no pocket on the back of the chair like on other scooters.
This scooter is great! Exactly like the ones you find in grocery stores. My wife wanted one of her own after Hoveround and Medicare turned her down. Price was right. Breaks down into four (4) sections plus the basket. The specs tell you the heaviest piece is 40 lbs. it is one of the platform sections which includes the steering column and is a bit unwieldy; my wife cannot lift it out of the trunk so I have to go shopping with her just to lift the pieces in and out. If you are frail, not strong, think about it. We are probably going to purchase the "wagon" for $200 which attaches to the rear and she can drive right up on it. As I wrote, the scooter is great; make sure the user can lift an awkward 40 lbs.
