This product is definitely worth your money. My 91-year-old Dad is extremely hard of hearing. This amplifies sound greatly. In fact, the volume goes up to 10, and Dad said it was too loud when I turned it to 4, so be careful to turn it up slowly! Dad had given up taking phone calls because he couldn't hear. Now when he gets a call, I put the phone on speaker, set the amplifier next to the speaker, and Dad is able to carry on a conversation again. What a blessing!
This is the first day but I highly recommend this unit. My 96 year old mother in law is visiting us and is deaf as a stone. Inexpensive over the ear aids did nothing to help. Purchased this as a last effort. After having her Mom put it on, my wife was in tears at being able to talk to her mom without having to raise her voice to the point of yelling. So far so good. Looks like this going to be a VERY GOOD fix for a bad situation.
Purchased for my 98 year old aunt who's stone deaf. Wasn't a cure, but helps her enough to sit close to the tv and make out a little of what's going on.
