These are excellent braces. Recently I've started using the side inserts, and found that they need a lot of modification to become comfortable. I've also experimented with tape on the outside, and the use of a lump (or a cupped disk) of tape inside the brace, against my ankle bone.
This is my third or 4th? Swede-O, helping stabilize a surgically , x 3, repaired ankle. Its better than all the other much more expensive, braces, wraps, and inserts that I have tried or were prescribed. Easy to wear, wash, and take on your travels. Try different thickness of socks and shoe types for best comfort. I wear hiking style boots due to the weak ankle.. I highly recommend the brace.
Several years ago, I "trashed" my ankle and I have to wear a knee high brace in order to walk without a severe limp. Whenever I mow my lawn I can't use my knee high brace as my house sits on a fairly steep hill. This is my second Swede-o brace that I wear whenever I mow so that I can more easily walk up and down the hill without pain. If it wasn't for the Swede-o brace I would not be able to mow my lawn. I would recommend this to anyone in a similar situation without any hesitation.
Since I twisted my ankle playing volleyball, my ankle feels weak, not fully healed. With this ankle wrapper, it helps to protect the weak ankle from further injury by preventing bending sideways, but still allow normal back and forth movement freely.

We had to re- wrap the item and drive to a FedEx office to mail it!! Lots of trouble to go to!! You could have just sent us a white one. It's a very inexpensive item, after all!!
I have used these particular braces for many years for paying soccer. They are the best, both because of how high they lace and the plastic insertable wide plates(stays). While I have rolled an ankle so badly once that it broke one of those plates, they generally create the necessary stability. I am a fan of this brace.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was experiencing a lot of pain in my ankle and foot because I have torn my posterior tibial tendon. This brace provides enough stability that I have time to think about and schedule surgery, and I appreciate the time it is giving me. It is comfortable with my regular socks, shoes and orthotics, and this is another plus!
So far I am happy with the ankle brace.
The brace came as insufficient. I would like to have a brace that is sufficient. Protherapy supplies.com/returns. I need a return a.s.a.p. I filled a return form. Im expecting to get a result quick
