Nice little meter, does what it's supposed to do, easy to insert the strips and to use overall. The only thing is, it's hard to get blood sometimes, so after having wasted 2 lancets, I go ahead & do a stick free hand with a generic lancet (that I can and will re-use). It's portable, it comes with a case, requires no coding which means you don't have to enter a code prior to use -- less hassle. I love it and highly recommend it.
This little gadget is easy to use and straight to the point. I'm 7 months preggo and developed gestational diabetes and have to check levels 4 times a day so this little tool has really helped. The only thing is that you have to make sure that you insert the test strip directly on the blood and not try to drench or drip the blood on top of strip, otherwise, you'll just end up getting an error message. Other than that, it's great and painless ;)
When my PCP told me I had diabetes I was absolutely shell shocked because I'm the first one in the family to develop the disease. He tried to promote a different meter to me but I didn't want anything to do with it. I decided to buy the Accu Chek Nano because everything is included with it except for the strips. While I bought the kit at Walmart I went else for the test strips since they were cheaper. The reason why I would highly recommend this system is because of the fact that it is so simple to use and it includes directions for those who are new to the disease. I like that they have a phone number where you can call and get answers to your questions. I originally looked at buying another meter that was cheaper but then you had to buy everything separately and you had no guarantee that everything would work together. I don't know about you but when your a single diabetic mom with a daughter you want things which are really simple to use. The wealth of information which is included in this system is something which should not be overlooked. I would highly recommend this system to any diabetic no matter the length of our disease. My only complaint with this system is that I wish that some small amount of test strips came with the system when you buy it.
i thought it was a no stick since it was labeled as qn option..
I believe this unit has been used. The box was taped shut several times, the batteries were installed and dead, the face of the unit was missing the protective covering and the test strips were missing. I will not be buying anything more from Medical Wholesale Outlet
