currently have the Linksys Velop Mesh WiFi system in my home and the draw back of that is if you need Ethernet ports for devices that either don't have WiFi or you want the best speed, then you only have two options per node. This new MR9000 device has 5 Ethernet ports on the back and it can function as another node for your Velop system. Perfect for my entertainment system that I need to hook up my TiVo, PS4, and my older Blu-Ray player. I even have a few Ethernet ports left for future devices and I am excited about that. So far I have not noticed any lag or slow downs due to my networking system . It works perfectly for what I want it to do and I don't think you will have any issues with coverage or speed at all with this router. I really do like the MR9000 and the excellent coverage. Using the Linksys app to add this as another node was very simple and straight forward. The app is intuitive and well designed, and has many features. You are able to set up parental controls if you have little ones, device prioritization, and easily set up a guest WiFi that you can launch with a simple toggle or Alexa to launch it as well. There is also some useful tools such at a quick way to share your WiFi password with someone via email or text message, and if you find that you are having some interference issues with other devices, there is a channel finder that can scan your environment and utilize the best channels for your environment. The Linksys Max-Stream MR9000 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 5 router is a mean looking device with the 4 antenna and all black profile, although it's not as mean looking as some of linksys's other offerings. Absolute great area coverage for whole home wifi. Very Simple: The best feature of this is it looks great and supports many devices in use and the simplicity of use from the app. The app makes the setup very quick. From the app you can even turn the wireless add device option on so your device you want added to the router you don't need the password. I highly recommend it!
I received this LINKSYS MR9000 MAX-STREAM AC3000 TRI-BAND MESH WiFi 5 ROUTER just a few days ago and was quite intimidated in getting it as neither I or my husband ae very tech savoy and I was afraid that we would not understand how to get it hooked up and running. Well, to my surprise they company gives very good instructions on how to set it up First while unboxing it there were several papers with instructions on them plus a paper that says call us with their 800 number in the event that I needed help setting it up. They told me to download the Linsky set up app on my phone and so I did and it was a quick download, that was wonderful! Very explicate details step by step on how to pair it with my Comcast modem. I got the blue light on which meant it is working so I tried it out on my phone, laptop and my ipad and it is amazing how much faster my online experience is now. Everything opens up much faster and pages open instantly much faster than they did with just my Comcast modem. We are very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone who wants a smoother online experience.
I am reviewing the Linksys MR9000 Max-Stream AC3000 Tri-band Mesh WiFi 5 router. First thing I did was download the Linksys App. I followed the directions within the app. I plugged The cables into the back of the router. From there I named the Network and chose a Password and Also registered the product all through the Linksys App. I had it up and running within 15 minutes or less. It couldn't have been easier. The router is super fast. It delivers excellent speeds. My download speed is 232.48 Mbps. My upload speed is 12.43 Mbps. There is enough speed to work with my other devices. No lagging whatsoever. I have grandchildren that's always online while visiting. There are four antennas on top of router that can bend forward and backward and even sideways to get the best coverage. On the back of the router is a USB 3.0 port. Four Ethernet ports and a port for internet. There is a reset button and an off and on switch. I really like that it was simple to setup and the speed is the best. I recommend to those looking to increase their internet speed. I also recommend for the easy setup. I can monitor the health of the router while checking the app. There isn't anything I don't like.
Set up was easy and took just a few short minutes using the official Linksys App. WiFi connects right away and stays connected throughout the day with a nice strong signal. Super fast download and upload speeds. I can stream from multiple devices smoothly and seamlessly in every room of my house - and even my yard - with no noticeable dead zones. All in all, very impressive! Great performance and reliability! Linksys is definitely a brand I trust!
The Linksys Tri-Band AC3000 is an amazing wireless router. Litterally all I ha to do to install this router. Was go to goggle play store and download the links app and sign in. After plugging in the router into an electric wall plug. Then plugging in the provided ethernet cable from my modem to the linksys router. Wait for it to boot up. Find the linksys on the app for my phone and I was online in just a couple of minutes. After intalling the linksys router I checked all my devices. After logging them all in. The speed of my devices had faster speed, Downloading and uploading. The internet signal on all my devices were also stronger. I also pared this router with my Linksys Tether system. For the most extreme distances around my home. Like in my garage so that my car could communicate with its manufacturer for updates with my cars GPS and other updates. I'm also able to have internet on my patio with the extended range. Whats nice about my network now is that all the Linksys components work great together. Witch I'm very happy with For everything with my internet needs I always have trusted Linksys equipment. I'm going to rate this product with five stars. I hope this review helps anyone looking for state of the art equipment that will last a long time.
Very fast! Will keep up with the many devices my household uses. Setup was a breeze. I've been a Linksys user for years. They're known for no nonsense easy setup and fast connection. Never has a problem. No issues so far. I have over 10 devices. Highly recommended for easy, reliable connection!

The Linksys AC3000 Max Stream Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 Router is high performance. I already have a router. This new Linksys has much higher settings than my old one does. With this router everything seems to be working much more efficiently thereby making the Wi-Fi operate much faster. The AC3000 covers up to three thousand square feet of space and can support up to twenty-five devices. The first one I received would not setup so I called customer support to get help. They were extremely helpful but determined there was a serious flaw in the router. They sent a replacement and it is just fine. It is unfortunate the first one wouldn't work since it was sent for my review, however, because of that I can honestly report that they stand behind their product and will work with their customers to solve any problems that may occur. The router has a one-year warranty and the customer care is available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. The Linksys App is easy to install on an iPhone or android phone. The app makes it very quick and easy to install. It is a good product which is up to the current standards of what is needed for various internet services used.
The ISP router that I replaced with this MR9000/AC3000 worked fine for me and all my home devices, but the kids were having issues staying connected to WIFI on their devices. This one seems to be able to handle many more devices and they no longer have those issues. The speed and range seem to be about the same as the ISP router. My house is 2 floors, 1600sf and I don't need any extenders. WIFI reaches the yard too. I have all the gigabit ethernet ports connected to a switch and other devices too. Setup was fairly simple using the mobile app. It's a different way to set up a router but feels modern to me. The quick setup creates one SSID for all bands, but I understand that you can rename them to different names later to better control what devices connect to which band. You can prioritize devices in the mobile app so more important ones get the bandwidth they need always. I have not tried the USB port for external drive or parental controls or the browser setup page. They do not provide good instructions. They just tell you to download the mobile app and use it but it is not that advanced. For me this router works. I don't have a lot of demands, just a lot of devices to connect, which it handles very well.
Nicely designed. Love the look of it. It's a bit bulky on my wife's opinion. Moving on to functionality: it did improve the range of coverage by a little. We normally don't have more than 3 devices running at a time so I can't really agree with the box which states it can support up to 25 devices given the speed of internet you already have from your supplier. I'll put that to the test on my next family reunion! lol Also our house it's not bigger than 3000 sq ft however I was still able to stay connected to my internet even on my porch and my garage but nothing more than that, almost the same as before. I would recommend only for larger home and people running maybe devices. Almost forgot to mention, simple to use and set up with the application.
