I have the HP Sprocket, the Fujifilm link, & the newest edition to tiny photos: Canon Selphy Square Q-10. Hands down, the picture quality and color is unbeatable, the others don't even come close! And, best part- they are waterproof, and they last 100 years!
I got a pocket printer (from a two letter brand) a few years ago as a gift. I loved the idea of a portable printer I can slip into a bag and print straight from my phone. The BIGGEST problem I had with that one is the image quality. These days, I just want clear, high quality images that last. The SELPHY is the best of both world! It's slightly bigger but still super light and portable. But the image quality, it's just WOW. How does something so small print photos like this? Setup is super easy, and I print straight from my phone. Sometimes I use Instagram or VSCO to edit first, and it comes out gorgeous. I couldn't be happier. Oh, and one thing I didn't know: INK comes with the paper! I bought extra photo paper and was so surprised.
I am very happy with my photo printer!! The pictures are clear and Im impressed with the color.
Super easy to set up. Downloaded the app on my phone, spent about 2 minutes playing with the settings/filters, and started printing photos immediately. Great gift to give, %26 fun to have at events where I can take a photo and print it out in a minute to give to guests as a fun party favor.
Like the portability and print quality
I was a little nervous to purchase the product at first since it's still new and there weren't many reviews, but I was really pleasantly surprised. The quality of the photos are really good. The coloration is slightly different sometimes but not enough to bother me. If the lighting in the original picture is good, the picture comes out really great. If the lighting is a bit darker or the picture is a little blurry, it will come out less great, but that's expected. And again, it doesn't bother me. I also think it's really cool to watch the photos be printed, it goes in and out of the printer a few times to lay the ink down. It was pretty simple to set up and I have had no issues with the app the printer uses (I have an IPhone8).
I bought this product having read the reviews regarding the poor software. I also thought Canon would update the software over time, but no luck thus far. It is really a shame! The hardware is great! The printer is stylish and I love seeing it in action. However, the software is quite lacking in terms of ease of use and functionality.
The hardware is great. Image quality is OK (some misalignment in pigment gives a slightly soft effect, but not a deal breaker). The issue is that it can only be used with SELPHY Photo Layout app, and that is absolute garbage. It's very frustrating to use, and until Canon releases a better version (unlikely, as one-star reviews go back a year and Canon hasn't done anything to address it) I would not recommend purchasing this printer. I don't know what it will take for Canon to realize that software user experience is at times even more important that the hardware. They've dropped the ball with every application I've ever encountered, and I have used Canon products for 28 years.
I bought this product like since 3 years but, it is waste money because NEVER CANT FIND THE INK FOR THIS! Why do you still sell the canon square qx10 with the ink incluid but NEVER SELL SEPARATE THE INK CARTRIDGE FOR THIS SQUARE QX10 while we was happy to enjoy with that. Sucks the INK
The app is the only way you can print. Go to the app store and read the reviews before buying. So upset, Ive been wanting this printer for 6months and was a surprised gift. Now it's useless because the app doesn't work. The cannon developers is doing nothing about the complaints.
