This unit replaces a previous unit I had for over ten years when the display started to go. Could not be without the calculator and the programming capability with the financial functions.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best financial calculator! Ease of use! Calculates loan interest, payments stream, and compounds interest! Would have no other!
Once you get used to RPN, you won't want to go back to a conventional calculator. The finance functions are great for my business and for my personal finances.
I bought the HP 12C Financial Programmable Calculator to replace my boyfriend's 25+ year old calculator of the same model. His old calculator's #5 key was working intermittently. The new calculator was a big hit and made his day :-) The ordering and shipping process went well too. Thanks for being such a great U.S. company! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third HP calculator since the early 80's. Always dependable and accurate, as well as comfortable to use. Thanks HP for such a great product!
I have been using the 12C in my career and personal use since it was brought out in the 1980's and there is no better financial calculator out there. I have tried so many to check them out, but they all fail in ease of use, accuracy, and available functions. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I lost my HP-11 a few years ago in Hurricane Harvey. I tried using an app on my phone for a HP-15 but just wasn't happy with the tactile feel of the keys. The HP-12 doesn't do all the things I need as an engineer, but for many of my Project Management tasks the HP-12 works great. I'm glad I made the purchase. When is HP going to bring back a replacement for the HP-15? I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
The quality seems to be improving. Had a few in the past 10 years that lasted only a month or so. This seems to be of better quality.
My 1971 HP-12c was finally retired a couple of years ago. Its only problem was the "2" button was faulty. I had purchased a "Platinum HP-12c" about three years ago to replace my original 12c. The pillow switches below the keys failed right away. By that time HP quit servicing the calculators. Stupidly, I bought another Platinum 12c and it too was defective in just months. I could not survive without a trusty HP 12-c and bought another one of the original 12-c design just recently. It seems to work alright and my fingers are crossed that it will finally take its place as the reliable HP calculator that was my side kick for so many years.
Some of the buttons don't work Without exerting a lot of pressure. Particularly the decimal point button. How do I do I return the product?
