I have been using LACTAID Fast Act Chewables for years now and have been very satisfied with my results. When I first realized that I was lactose intolerant, I thought that I would have to give up all diary forever but I found out about Lactaid products and tried them. I was very satisfied how they helped me enjoy those foods again. I made the mistake of trying a store brand of lactose supplement and it did absolutely nothing for me. I never use anything else to help with my diary needs other than LACTAID.
It works perfectly and fast. Usually I take one before I eat something that has milk and I don't have any side effects. I think it's totally worth it and for a good price.
My daughter and I are both lactose intolerant. We do enjoy having dairy, especially ice cream from time to time. Lactaid Fast Acting Tablets are an easy way to keep us from being miserable. We both like the vanilla flavor and the fact that it acts fast.
Despite me being not ingesting Dairy, I still like to keep this on hand in case I go places and dairy is a hidden ingredient. Works fast!
The project works great. The only thing is that I end up having to take more then the recommended mount to control the symptoms, so I end up using more. It is truly amazing the amount of foods that contain dairy and how often I have to use the product.
The chewables do exactly what they say and do it well, but I absolutely hate the flavor. If Lactaid would come out with more flavor options for the chewables it would be a lot more desirable to eat. Just thinking of the flavor makes me nauseous, but if I have to, I would eat it.
I have tried taking these for my lactose intolerance and I've noticed that whenever I do, I getting very sick to my stomach & end up throwing up all night. I don't know what's in them, but I am obviously allergic to the ingredients. I will never take them again!
I bought these chewables instead of the regular ones. Please DO NOT USE THEM. I got cramps like never before. My GI told me that it was a reaction to the added sweetener used in this Lactaid product. I mean, who is the twisted mind person in that company who decided to use an ingredient like MANNITOL, which causes cramps and diarrhea by itself. I swear to God NEVER again to buy anything from this manufacturer.
It is stunning that you do not include a warning on the label about the mannitol. I have IBS and a couple of weeks also diagnosed with lactose intolerance. I immediately started using your product (the tablets) religiously. My IBS has gotten SOOO much worse the past few weeks, even with the most potent prescription medication. So I started digging and came upon the information about your produce containing mannitol, which has CLEARLY caused the absolute misery I have suffered. It was pure luck that after digging for a few days I discovered this.
I couldn't figure out why I was having diarrhea, nausea, and severe stomach cramps for the past few days until I came on here and realized it was the new lactaid caplets I was taking! I normally take a different product to get lactase but ran out and these were the only ones available at my pharmacy. Not taking these again :(
