This EMS unit is great! I've suffered from lower back issues for year, all muscular. I try to stay in somewhat decent shape, but it my back will occasionally tighten up the the point I can barely walk. The first time I had this issue, I went to a very reputable chiropractor and it was where I first was exposed to an EMS unit. I could barely walk going in and was normal when I left. Recently, I had another episode and decided to try one of these units without having to spend hundreds at a chiropractor. I believe this not only did as good, but maybe even better than the one used in the chiropractor's office. It has multiple modes that you can cycle through to find your favorite. Once you find the mode you prefer, you can increase the intensity to the level you chose. I highly recommend this unit to anyone with muscular back issues. It's a life saver.
