Great product
I've used this on several dark age spots on my hands. Within less than 2 weeks they are definitely lighter and less noticeable. It seems to be taking longer on some face spots. It can cause a little bit of dryness and flaking so you might need to skip a day between applications. I had previously tried another brand (Ambi) that caused redness and irritation; this does not. The tube is small but should last quite awhile since I only apply it to the spots. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have to start out by saying that this product is strong! When I first started using it, I put it on twice a day and it did burn a bit and dried out my skin. I stopped using it for a week to let my skin get back to normal and then I started again very slowly. Once every other day for a couple of weeks, then working up to once a day. This product has done great things for my skin! I get an occasional pimple here and there, but not really acne. It has really cleared my skin up and gives me a really nice glow. I haven't been using it long enough to know how well it is doing fading brown spots, but I love it for how clear it makes my skin! I highly recommend applying only once every other day when you first start using this. If it feels like its burning at all, wait longer between applications. Your skin will adapt and get more tolerant to it the longer you use it. I highly recommend this product!
I bought this product 3 months ago. Applied it religiously every day twice a day for about 3 weeks only for it to burn where I applied it on my dark not only did it burn it left a red spot. Make up wouldn't even cover the redness. I tired it again this month, it did the exact same thing. I am highly dissatisfied with this product. If I still had my reception I would return it.
I was excited to try this product because I love aveeno and was looking for something to help clear my acne scars. When I first applied the product it felt great.. it didn't burn my sensitive skin. BUT, the next morning I woke up with at least 5 tiny red acne bumps around my mouth and cheek AND it actually brought back a pimple that had just disappeared. I was so upset.. especially since I love aveeno cleansers. I gave this to my mom who is in her 40's and she seems to like it. I guess it is just not for acne prone skin.
After three weeks of carefree use, a red blotchy itchy rash has appeared on my face where the cream had been applied. It's ugly , uncomfortable and a little embarrassing. My pharmacist said to use some hydrocortisone cream but this is going to take a while to disappear. Sure hope it doesn't leave scars. Very disappointed in the product and would not recommend.
Have been using this for two weeks. Totally understand that no product shows any difference in two weeks so would not comment on that. I clean my face with a face wash and then use this product both in am and pm. I have thick skin that normally does not get effected by any cosmetic. This one successfully broke the trend and burnt my skin - now I have red marks and a burning sensation. Never using Aveeno again.
I tried this out and I saw a slight change in my dark marks but a few days after trying I keep getting these huge cyst like bumps on my cheeks. They are very painful and I've never had bumps this huge. I love aveeno, but I did not like this product. So disappointed:(
I am very disappointed with this product. My face is worst now that when I previously started using this tone corrector. It had made my brown spots stand out even more and like other reviews on this site, I used this creme as directed, and when applying it, the creme burned my skin when and left red marks as well. This is the first Aveeno product I have tried, and don't plan trying any other of their products again.
I couldn't give this the full 2 weeks to try it out because after a few uses I had an allergic reaction to this product. My face ended up a red, blotchy, itchy mess. I know it says nonirritating but that has never been the case when it comes to my face. I've always had to be extra careful when trying new things. I thought that after the first use I didn't see a reaction that I was good but I did notice red, puffy blotches form more and more after each use. After the 4th use is when the itching started. I would still recommend this to others but this is not a product for me. I do still use the Aveeno body and hand lotions as they do not irritate my skin, it's only my face that is super sensitive.
