I cannot say enough good things about cantu. Their products get a bad rep. I have not experienced these horrible things other natural hair people have said about the products. This product definitely met my expectations. I would definitely buy it again!

Thus stuff is awesome... it keeps your hair in place without having that extra hard feeling... it also doesn't leave all the flakes you can get from gell... it smells great as all their hair products do.... leaves your hair looking shiny and well moisturized. I didn't like this gel at first but that was because I combined it with incompatible hair products which led to flaking. In other words, I didn't quite know how to use it and the result were terrible. For my daughter and I the key was to find a leave-in conditioner that mixed well with the gel. That's it. My daughter has thick waist-length 3A-3B hair. I have fine shoulder-length 3B-3C hair. This is the only gel that gives her perfect hold and maintains elasticity at the same time. We typically put in the gel, let it dry, then break the cast. The end result is soft flake-free curls. On super humid days my daughter opts not to break the cast. The humidity softens her hair naturally and her curls remain intact. My hair is fine, so the gel alone is "okay" but I get the best results when using the Cantu Curl Activator first (it acts as a great leave-in), and follow up with this gel. My curls are soft, well-defined....perhaps not as defined as when I use Eco Styler gel, but still pretty good and much more elastic (less prone to breakage).
Best gel ever used. Stroke patient. No dizziness allergy etc. Feels great. Holds great, body not stiff. Leave on wet hair in style for 20 minutes even better. Listed for ethnic hair bit works great on mine. Medium wave haircolor blonde short style.
I've heard amazing things about this brand but it ok s glue like. I would love to try more! I really love this brand and similar products work well for me. It looks like it is refreshing but not too overwhelming. They have had good results but it does cause build up and can lead to breakage so its important to wash it out really good. I have oily hair. I use similar stuff but have yet to try this .
This weighs my hair down to where I have to wait two days before I get some volume. I do get some good definition with it when I pair it with a styling cream. However after a few days I get very bad flaking.
I wondered if I got a bad batch of this; either that, or it is just a bad product. I have natural curls and loved that it was said this product forms a cast you can then break once dried. This would never form a cast at all, and I tried it with different various other products. I also tried using different amounts of it. It always performed the same: it gave me frizz, did not have any holding power, made my hair look greasy, and did not encourage any curls. I was expecting a nice cast and nicely-formed curls, but it did not deliver. I also wondered if it was drying out my hair as I kept trying it for a week.
This product is kind of Gooey a glue like testure.
It FLAKES. If you got to sleep and wake up the flakes will be all in your head. You'll have to add water to your hair and brush the flakes
