I absolutely love the Myabelline New York Rock Nudes eye shadow palette, it's so good I've already recommended it to my friends. I like the color combinations that it offers. I love that on the back it offers a few tips on how to combine the colors, whether you want two color combination, three or even four different color combination on your eye lid, that is one of the things that makes it perfect for newbies, or for girls like me that just struggle to find the right match or color combination when it comes to eye shadow. I've been using it for about 2 weeks and the color stays on all day long, even with a stressful job and three kids to drain my energy after work, the color doesn't fade away. Also it doesn't get clumpy like other shadows I've used before, the colors are very rich and they blend in perfectly. I even use it as my lower eyeliner and I don’t worry about it coming off or smearing all over at all. I'll definitely continue buying this brand. And at night time it comes off right away with my cleansing wipes, I wipe away once and it's gone, no need to scrub your eyes at all.
Rocking eyes day or night this is one great compact. Rocking Nudes have flat colors as well as glittered in great shades. The colors are buildable. You can make your eyes more natural for daytime or a little more dramatic to full smokey glittrr. I am not good at putting on make-up but I do like color. The compact has a long ergonomic applicator that is double ended. I threw my other compacts away. ..the ones that the cors b look the same..or no matter how much you put on it stays the same. This is nice too that all the eye color you will ever need is right in one case. A really great product ! The photo I posted with the eyeshadow was mainly for color. If it looks good on a 62 yr old woman just think how great it would look on eyelids that aren't wrinkled! LOL
So, like everyone else, I read several reviews prior to ordering this palette. I myself go straight to the one star comments. I look at the percentage of one-star ratings and the consistency of what’s being said as negatives. Below are the top 3 complaints, which I evaluated when using this product: 1) lack of pigmentation 2) fall-out 3) doesn’t last long First of all, let me say…this is a “nude” palette. This means that once it is applied to you eyelid, it’s not supposed to look like you have eyeshadow on your eye. A nude palette is meant to enhance your natural skin tones. Please view all nine of the photo’s I loaded. Six photos are close up, two are average distance, one is an extreme close up and one is of the palette I used in each and every photo. One of the photos was taken at the end of the day to show that while using a primer, the colors did not fade. (I won’t tell you which photo.) I used different colors each time I took a photo with the exception of the extremely close up. I did not clean up after application of the eyeshadow and if you will look very close at the extreme close up photo you can see the fall-out of the black color used on the crease. It is minimal. I used Shany natural brushes each time for consistency of application. I do not ever use the sponge applicators that come with products.
This is a great Palette. There are 12 wonderful colors to choose from. There are 6 flat and 6 metallic shadows. None of them are too bold. You can create so many different color pattern. Very easy to create the smokey eye look. :) That is one of my faves. I really recommend this Eye Shadow Palette. Very nice product that I am highly satisfied with. *Received free for review. I must say, that I was surprised by how much I really liked the "Maybelline New York The Rock Nudes Eye Shadow Palette". I did notice other reviews on this product and they were mixed. All that I can tell you is the experience I had with this product. The things I liked most about the Maybelline palette was how smooth it went on and it did not flake. I have some covergirl eye shadows and the colors are kind of powder textured so when I put it on my eye lid, there will be some dusting of it on my face. Again, I did NOT have that problem with this Maybelline palette product. Like I said also it went on very smooth. Obviously the more color and stokes you add, the darker it will be. But I did notice that even with one stroke of color, it went on as the color it was supposed to. I loved the variety of color that this palette came with. They're not bold and all the natural colors I tend to go towards. There's a mix of shimmer looking color and dull color. The shimmer color does not go on sparkly, which is a good thing because that's a look I do not like. But like I said, it's more of a shimmer and shine. It looks professional. I really like it and would recommend.
I received The Rock Nudes eye shadow in the mail. The first thing I noticed was that some of the pods were very sparkly and some are matte. All of the colors are luscious. I have blue eyes and all of the colors in the palette suit my color sense. I like the fact that these colors can be worn from morning until late night. I also liked the packaging. The case is not oversized but still has generous amounts of each color. I have been using Maybelline since high school and am happy to see it is still a quality product. I look forward to using each color and will tell everyone it is Maybelline.
Maybelline New York The Rock Nudes Eye Shadow Palette has everything you need to give your eyes that smoky rock star look. From nude, browns, charcoal, navy or black. Several colors to give your eyes that smoky look. Twelve different shades with awesome Maybelline quality. Does not form creases after wearing like a lot of eye shadows do. I have used Maybelline products for over 30 years and I think this is one of the best they have come up with all in one pallete. Match it with the best mascara ever- Mabelline Great Lash- and you can create the best smoky rock star eyes. Comes with a double end sponge applicator but I prefer a brush. Great product.
Maybelline Nudes colors definitely rock. I love the fact that it is such a large palette. I absolutely the colors in this palette. The pigmentation of the colors compliment my skintone. I was expecting a little applicaton sponge to be in the case. However,when I opened the case i was very surprised to see such a large applicator sponge. I love how long the dual applicator sponge is. Having such long applicator sponge makes applying the eyeshadow easy. Although the applicator sponge is good I tried applying the eyeshadow with a really good makeup brush and I must say a real brush does a better job in applying the eyeshadow. I also suggest when using this product that a eye primer is a must because this eyeshadow doesn't last for hours. It wears off easy. Overall I like this product it is a good value for price, it provides versatility for day and evening looks. I will definitely try other palettes from maybelline collections.
I was so excited to get something for just me! This palette is large considering there is only 12 colors. I took several days to try out each color and some lasted longer than others did. The matte ones seemed to last longer than the sparkly ones. The sparkly colors creased making a line and came off the rest so it definitely looked stupid. This comes with a sponge applicator that has 4 sides. I used that and my brush to experiment putting on the different colors to see if they lasted longer with one or the other. I cried and exercised (I know that sounds stupid) to see if the eye shadow lasted during normal situations and the matte colors always won. (By the way, you look hideous when crying while wearing this makeup!) I only gave it four stars since I was super disappointed in the sparkly colors. I loved the matte brown. It looked very flattering and "natural". The only thing I wish this had was a mirror. It was big enough for one. I just found it difficult to see well enough unless I put it on in my car where I had a close mirror. Disclaimer: this was given to me in exchange for my opinion. This palette offers 12 shades in matte, satin and glitter and it's a great set for a beginner or an make up expert alike. You can use the shades of the palette as duos, trios or quads, depending by the look you want to achieve. When I opened it I realized that the matte browns could be actually used as brow shapers (no need to buy a brow shaping kit!) and, using an angled brush (not provided in the set), I applied them to my brows. The result was great and it lasted all day! I also used the light shadow as a highlighter under the brows and the effect was very clean and polished. Then I chose three shades to use: a glittery taupe one for my lid, a matte brown for the crease and outside corner and a satin beige for the inner corner of my eyes. I added my own brown pencil and mascara and I loved the result! I was finally able to achieve a smoky eye using a single palette. The look lasted all day without smudging or loosing pigment and I didn't used an eyelid primer. I was afraid of the glittery shades but they really have a fine glitter which is not too over the top and blends well with the other shadows. The two-sides applicator worked for me but you might need more applicators or brushes to play with these shades and achieve different looks. I just wish the palette would come with a mirror inside. A good palette overall!
