I am loving this deodorant!! It smells like a creamsicle and it does a really good job at doing what it’s supposed to do! When I switched to natural deodorant years ago I tried tons before I found one that actually worked. I decided to give this one a try because it has nearly the same ingredients as the other brand and I will most definitely be sticking to Alaffia from now on! Can’t wait to try the other scents as well!!
I was unsure if this would work but it did! I smelled super good all day. Been trying to get off of deodorants that use aluminum and this was a great success.
I picked this up 7 days ago from my local Whole Foods and this stuff keeps me dry all day. I recently made the switch to natural deodorants and use the unscented African Black Soap on a scrubbing washcloth to detox the antiperspirant out of my pores. I also use a clay mask with apple cider vinegar and a scrub with coconut oil and charcoal to aid the detox process since I’m in my first week of transition. I can't believe that I didn’t take the leap earlier bit I’m glad that I finally did. Never looking back now!!
My family loves this deodorant - all 5 of us use it - Dad, Mom, two teen girls, and a pre-teen boy. It does not irritate our sensitive skin but provides enough protection for all of us (even the man of the house.) We love that it is effective, natural, aluminum free, and it smells good without being overpowering.
I've tried many "natural" deodorants (Toms, Native, Schmidts, Uncle Harry's, Kopari, to name a few) but I keep coming back to Alaffia, in particular the Neem Turmeric Charcoal - Lemongrass version because it's effective (I work outside and get super sweaty) and I like the scent that evolves on your body as you wear it. It does take a little time to dry after you put it on, but it doesn't leave a white chalky residue or turn the armpits of your white shirts yellow. Other natural deodorants are scratchy, cause a rash, stop working, or are insanely expensive. Alaffia is the best value for the money and your dollars are supporting the ethical body care movement, which is a win for everyone.
I have been trying out most of the Alaffia deodorants and I think this one is the winner for me. It keeps me smelling good for up to two days and has a dryer finish than some of the others. I like the others but this one is the one I keep going back to in high heat and humidity. I would recommend, located in Providence, RI,65year old woman, quality is great, good value
I liked this one very much, I like the smell and it didn't seem to smell overwhelming to me. Also smelled somewhat like sandalwood faintly to me as well as the Bergamot. I like the smell of Bergamot so it works for me and lasted for a good two days.
I love the Mandarin Ginger smell. It's subtle and citrusy. The deodorant is a little bit sticky, but that might be because my sister left it in the car on a 90 degree day and all of the shea butter melted out of it :/ Despite that, it's still a great product!
I can attest to the fact that this deodorant smells divine! I knew that it would take some time for my body to get used to. Considering the fact that I’ve been using unnatural deodorant for quite some time. The reason why I am giving it a three star is because this deodorant is not long lasting. I find myself applying it 2-3 times a day and sweating more after use.
I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS SEEING! THIS DEODORANT WAS FOAMING UP! AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS NORMAL THEN IT STARTED TO BURN ME I WASHED IT OFF SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE THE BURNING SENSATION WOULD NOT GO AWAY! IT MADE SOME CUTS TO MY SKIN, AND DEVELOPED IRRITATION AND SOME BLOOD SEEPED OUT! I APPLIED FRESH ALOE VERA FROM THE STEM FOR A FEW DAYS! I DID NOT EXPECT THIS FROM EVERY DAY PRODUCT I HAVE USE THEIR BODY WASH NEVER HAD A PROBLEM! SO UNFORTUNATE!
