I bought this about 3 weeks ago and have been using it non-stop. It's honestly the most matte sunblock (physical sunblock; thankfully not a chemical sunscreen) I have ever tried and loved! It replaced my holy grail Banana Boat tear-free sting-free baby sunscreen because I feel safer with a physical sunblock as opposed to the BB's chemical one. A little truly goes a LONG WAY like what other reviewers mentioned; because I made the mistake of ambitiously slathering a more-than-generous amount on my face and I ended up even more pasty-white than ever. And unlike my old love BB, this one will never cause any flyaway hair strands sticking to my face. Awesome sun protection at that quality too! Will stick to this! Please don't ever discontinue!
This sunscreen is fantastic. It applies in a somewhat odd consistency like paste, yet dries quickly (for me within 5-10 minutes) and provides a tremendous layer of protection. It does not feel oily or slimy once 'dried'. This product had been strongly recommended by my dermatologist (after my dealing with skin cancer) and she was spot on!
for reference, I am 18 with combination skin and moderate breakouts at times. I had been using the Coola sunscreen with niacin-amide in it and I had no real problems with that one, but I have been experiencing some pretty cystic breakouts so I thought maybe niacinamide was behind these. so I decided to try this product. I have a lot of anxiety about trying a new product because I'm so scared it will break me out! The texture of this sunscreen was super nice. I could put a lot of and it blended right in. it also wasn't super greasy looking or too matte, which is great for my combination skin. I will say it has the slightest “sunscreen” scent to it, which I don't mind because it reminds me of the beach! It also had very slight peeling, but it wasn't too bad at all. I am curious to see how this will last throughout the day. but first impression, I love it!
I have used CeraVe's comparable brand of zinc sunscreen and I like Sheer Zinc Dry Touch better. It glides on smooth and absorbs quickly. And it doesn't leave a greasy feeling. If you take the time to apply and rub it into your skin it will be invisible.
It's an excellent sheer and dry touch sunscreen. It absorbs quickly after rubbingn. Easier to apply than other non zinc mineral sunscreen. I wear it on daily basis and totally love it. Highly recommended.
Neutrogena makes trustable products. I've used their sunscreen for years, along with their other skin products. I love how Neutrogena makes affordable products that are effective and safe. While this sunscreen does provide me protection and has a matte finish, it has a strong white cast. My skin is fair, but this sunscreen takes it to another level. I look vampiric in broad daylight. I thought mineral sunscreen had evolved - hence, "sheer!" I do find this sunscreen hard to wash off with regular soap - I highly recommend doing a double cleanse. Love to use regularly!
great quality i'd say.takes a bit time to blend into the skin gives white cast.so i apply a bit of pressed powder to get rid of the white patches.Just a reminder i'm brown skinned.
It is a good product don't let your skin greasy and feel really light texture. My only complaint is that let the face white but it has a good sun protection.
It works pretty well for sunscreen to protect my face. I have had it for years and still have some left. It is not very moisturizing and it does leave my face feeling a slight bit oily and dry at the same time. It is odd feeling.
Sun Bum Clear 50 is where it's at, no matter how much you rub this Neutrogena product in your hands then into your skin you always have a milky screen on your face (pause), tried mixing it into my moisturizer, it didn't make it better. Trying to wash it off your face is not easy either.
