I have two cats that do not get along and a dog that will get into the litter boxes, so I purchased this gate and placed it in the corner of a bedroom and put a large litter box in it. There is so much room in there that the cat has plenty of space to move around. With the regular size gate door, I'm able to go in, clean the box and the area and the best thing the dog can not get in there at all. The small door I just tied it open and I didn't even have to show my cat, she just goes in and out all by herself. Its so easy and works so well, I've ordered another one for the other cat and the best thing is no more blocking the doorways to keep the dog out.

I bought this to block off an entry way to the bedrooms, it works great you don't have to put it together, just unfold it and screw it to the wall.
I am glad that I found something like this. I have an area between my kitchen and living room that is a bit bigger than most openings and I was just at my wit's end trying to find something to keep the dog out of the living room. This is perfect size and plus it is Metal so she cannot chew on it.
Works as advertised. Beige color, easy to install and use. Will work straight across an opening as well as at an angle. Mine came with one of the bars bent, chose to bend it back rather than hassle with a return. The screws that come with it are too short if going into drywall.
First off, it's advertised as white, but in actuality it's more of a beige color; not a big deal, but seriously, just advertise it as its right color. Secondly, the joints to the gate are plastic. Now why they are made out of plastic, I have no idea, but it's a horrible one. This is supposed to keep my dog in a specified area and the joints are plastic? They easily snap in half, which happened twice with me. Also, if you still want to order this item after my review, just know that my dog learned how to climb over the gate using the horizontal bar that's above the mini gate as a stepping stool to get over. All-in-all, awesome price, because it was cheap, but there are several reasons why it's so cheap.
I was looking for a Carlson gate that can be removed from the wall and the brackets remain attached. I have seen on other sites that they do make one and in fact the other sites use this very same picture that Walmart uses. The gate that was shipped to me was not the one in the picture. It does not have the ability to remove the gate from the brackets but in fact screws into the wall. This may work for some, but not for me. I returned it.
A missing piece looked like it was previously used I had to wipe it down before installing
