Five or so years ago we bought the Easy Step Extra Tall gates for our house (since we run a dog rescue I have to divide my house into zones...lol) and they have held up SO well through a lot of abuse, recently we widened a doorway and needed an extension. I couldn't find the same brand but these measure the same and sure enough, it's a perfect fit! I had it shipped to my house for $13 total (shipping, tax, everything). Can't beat that :)
this is a well made gate and extension and tall enough so the dog won't get over it although some cats can get over it. Once assembled to the gate it does wiggle a bit so an extra bit of securing in the way of cable ties is necessary. Of course puppies should be trained not to challenge the gate and respect your putting it there. BTW: a 25 pound dog is small enough to get through the cat door; I think a 35 pound dog might be too large to get through the little door.
Works as expected. No problems or issues.
The extra-tall carlson gate does the job! Things that could be improved: Slightly wider door for slightly wider people to walk through (my wife is pregnant). The width extensions seem wobbly, as does the finger nuts/bolts that push the gate tight between the two walls. Overall, the gate keeps my very atheletic Yorkie from getting over and through!
