Great gates for dogs who don't push their way into them! I have a 110lb., a 70lb, a 50lb and a 48lb. pack of dogs. None of them push their weight on these gates and and they staqy on the side I want them to until I say otherwise! Best thing I have bought in years and aesthetically pleasing as well as functional! Very happy!
I am extremely pleased! I have a 41" tall Regalo security gate (model 1166) and needed a 24 inch extention since I needed to move the gate from the doorway to the wider hallway. The Regalo brand gate extention was either out of stock or over priced. I couldn't find a review ... to see if the Carlson gate extentions fit the Regalo security gates so I decided to give it a try. It fits perfectly! I'm so happy!
Ordered a pet gate that was supplied by Walmart at a discounted price. The 12 extension for the gate was supplied by Unbeatablesale, Inc. and was a find product, worked as advertised but compared to the gate price was very much over priced - almost as much as the original gate.
this is a well made gate and extension and tall enough so the dog won't get over it although some cats can get over it. Once assembled to the gate it does wiggle a bit so an extra bit of securing in the way of cable ties is necessary. Of course puppies should be trained not to challenge the gate and respect your putting it there. BTW: a 25 pound dog is small enough to get through the cat door; I think a 35 pound dog might be too large to get through the little door.
I purchased the gate to keep my cats apart. The gate part is wider then the slates, so the cats can come and go as if no gate. I would recommend use with larger animals.
A little lightweight and will not handle a direct thrust against the gate from a large dog unless the wall cups are mounted( they screw into the wall).
