I was a bit skeptical about trying this product while knowing how much pesticide can be used on fruits and vegetables. But after several uses on different types of fruits and vegetables I was amazed on how much residue was cleaned off. I know in the future using this product I don't have to worry about my son being exposed to harmful chemicals.
We eat a lot of fruit and veggies as does our cat and guinea pig. I love that we can easily spray our fresh veggies and fruit and know I am protecting our family and pets. When I bring all my produce home, I spray everything, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, rinse it all and bag it up in serving sized bags or bowls to cut time later. There is zero aftertaste which is something I worried about when I first used it. Definitely something I will be ordering a case of. I love the peace of mind it gives me.
Rinsing my fruits and vegetables with water doesn't mean they're clean. WHY? Because produce is sprayed with wax to extend its shelf life. Water alone does not completely eliminate pesticides or wax. This Fruit and Vegetable Wash is not only ah-mazing but also peace of mind knowing we are protecting our family from health issues. I like that it is odor-free and Vegan. Now my fruits don't have that visible white stain and I can display them.
As soon as I get home from the store, before anyone eats any fruit I wash our fruits with this. This stuff is AMAZING and with the amount of things I have seen come out of my fruits and vegetables after washing them with this stuff I will never not use it again (hello, SPIDERS, seriously!). I love it so much!
We go to a ton of Farmer's Markets, grow our own produce, and we take advantage of tons of local sales at our local grocery stores. I love cooking - so I am in the kitchen a lot. That also means that I have a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits that I am always using - from the store and from my garden. I love the Arm & Hammer Fruit & Vegetable Wash. It works so well at cleaning my fruits and vegetables and gives me peace of mind about the food I am preparing. It is very easy to use and I can actually see and taste the difference from when I don't use it.
Like some other reviewers here, I usually just use vinegar and water to clean my fruits and vegetables. However, I'm concerned about the Dirty Dozen and other fruits/veggies that don't come as clean as they should because of pesticides from the store or even just dirt at our farmers' market. If you've ever been shopping with young children, you know they tend to drop produce on the ground too wherever it's sold. I love this product because it's safe for my littles and easy to rinse off with zero aftertaste, not even the strange acidity vinegar leaves. Definitely a go-to product for us this summer.
I had the opportunity to try this product last year, and I've used it ever since. I'm one of those people who would put bananas in a bag before I place them in the cart, so having the ability to wash my fruits and veggies with something other than water is something that I love. The results are obvious, even if I don't care to rub individual grapes, I can see the difference and if I'm taking in less wax and pesticide that works for me. One of the biggest reasons I keep a bottle on hand is because of my 3 year old daughter, I'd rather her have the cleanest fruit I can provide without all the wax and lingering pesticide on it. Water didn't do the job as well, and soap isn't safe for consumption, so I'll take the actual fruit & vegetable wash. I wouldn't mind having a larger size, but this lasts for a while.
Got product but it was empty when we opened the box. So can't really leave a review of the product itself bc it wasn't usable. Will NOT order again.
