[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Targus 17" Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat to try for free in exchange for my honest review. I like it because the cushion pad prevents my legs to be sore after extended periods of using it. You can hear a humming but it doesn't make to much noise. The computer doesn't feel overheated at any point. Also the mat is very light
This product is excellent!! It is not loud at all and really after using it a while you don't even notice it running. I have an Alienware 17 inch laptop that gets extremely hot while playing certain graphically intense video games and the Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat takes all the heat away. It is very comfortable on your lap, not sticky at all and I use it daily for hours and hours. Absolutely one of the best purchases I have ever made. Great price, great product, recommend it highly!! Affordable, easy to use, and extremely effective. A bit loud, but worth it for what you get.
I originally purchased this for when traveling on business, so when in the hotel or on the plane the laptop was not acting as a lap heater. Its simple to connect into the USP port and the fans are quite but generate a good flow of air. Now use daily as its easy to catch up on e-mails in front of the TV or even working from my RV as now doing some traveling around the USA while working remote.

I often sit with my computer and always feel the heat on my legs, this mat is sturdy, holds my computer as well as gives a comfortable soft surface for my legs. The fan operates simply by plugging in the provided USB cord to computer, voila, the fan begins to cool. It's great protection to your computer and to your legs! The fan operates quietly and is not annoying! When you don't need the fan, the cord is stored in a handy pop out space underneath! If I want to work while sitting or on the bed to watch a movie, no more worry about my laptop overheating! The upper surface is hard, with 4 corners containing an anti-slip surface so your laptop doesn't slide, the bottom is soft to be comfortable in your lap. It has dual fans to keep the computer cool as well as you. Love it!
I love this Item. I just wish they had the exact same one that would properly fit my new 17" Laptop. Works great with a 15" one, but they are lacking in stuff for the larger Laptops. I'm going to try one this is slightly larger, but we'll see if it does the job that I want. Make this one bigger guys!!
My 17 inch Dell teeters on it like it did on a smaller mat. Your return process is so onerous that I am keeping it for a different laptop. It is a decent product, just not anywhere near adequate to base a 17 inch laptop on. Really
The fans are louder than I expected. It also doesn't seem like it's moving much air to the laptop. However, it is comfortable when using it on your lap.
Dont buy it. Plastic and hardly cools. Waste of money.
