My parakeets like this better than others with added ingredients. Price very good
This is a great mix that my finches love! Definitely wouldn't use this as a parakeet mix as is stated on the bag, since the mixture of seeds is a finch mix rather than a parakeet mix. A parakeet mix should have mostly white millet and a small percentage of other seeds.

I bought this for the first time the other day. I got it for the wild birds in out neighborhood. With everything being so dry it is hard for them to find food. When I put the first serving out it took them a while to realize it was food, but they really like it now.
I have researched several brands of seed on all the vitamins
Outdoor birds loved it. Mixed it with black oil sunflower seeds I had left over to make a mix for birds to enjoy.
I only gave it one star because I had too do so to be able to post this review. I hope this info will help someone else. Tonight was the first time we used this product. It was just purchased at Walmart this week. Within an hour of placing this food in our birds cage we lost 3 of our 8 parakeets. Before they passed they became very disoriented, unable to fly or perch, rapid breathing and became very bloated. Just before passing they flapped their wings a little, took a few gasps of air and they were gone. The birds unaffected remained up on their perches and didn't eat the food.
The majority of the seeds are large and my parakeets do not eat them. I am sorry that I bought 16 lbs of them!
