This Scope is very Robust, it has a good solid feel to it. I set the Scope on a good camera tripod and positioned it towards the mountains here in Pa. On our mountains we have tall radio and repeater towers sitting on top. I pointed it at one of the towers that's about 2 miles away. On 20 Power I was able to pick out the Guy wires and the cross frame structure with ease. I then cranked it to 40 power and was able to make out a company logo on the dish. I said ,ok lets see what 60 power can do. I could almost read the company logo. It had about 7 letters to it, but that was it....... The focus controls are very smooth and have a nice friction drag to them. The glass on each end have very nice clarity. I am very happy with my purchase. The tripod it comes with is satisfactory.
All the power you need, crystal clear viewing. ...returned mine to store because of the tripod. I have a good Vortex tripod, but got so mad that Barska would send a tripod that you get out of a claw machine. It's a shame they would match such a great scope with a JUNK tripod. I don't think that you can get a better tripod for the money, so order a good tripod with the scope. P.S. really fast shipping.
The optics are just fantastic, very sensitive to movement on high power, need's a hefty tripod, Scope is very large, be prepared, (3lbs.) But, well worth it for spotting at 200yds. +
