I agree with the other comments! Please bring back fiber gum putty! I have coarse frizzy hair and I love the way it tamed my hair down after styling! From the other comments it seems it worked on all hair types. I can't find anything else that I am happy with. I am another customer that is begging you to PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!
Using very little I don't get the results. I think I would prefer the wax. This is pomade like and has a wonderful fragrance. Just does not work on my short hair.
I used this product as an alternative to the original Fiber Gum Putty which was sadly discontinued :( This new putty is just like the old one, except the old kind was less expensive and it had more putty in it. This new kind did not last long and it is not worth the price. I will be looking for a new product to use for my THICK curly hair. Curl type: 3b. ( I USED this putty as a styling product to hold my crazy curls in place) But like i said it is WAY overpriced. And there are better value products out there.
The Power Putty Fiber Spikes just doesn't work for my hair. I was heart broken when Garnier discontinued the Survivor Rough it Putty. It is the only product that keeps my fine, curly hair tamed. I've resorted to buying it from a popular online site. My fear is I won't be able to find it anywhere. I plead for Garnier to bring this product back.
I am VERY disappointed in the decision to "improve" a product that worked so well (the much loved fiber gum putty)and replace it with not only an inferior product but to package less product in a larger container and charge more for it I find an insult to my intelligence! Please bring the original fiber gum putty back!
Used old formula religiously. Then all styling pastes were reformulated... The new stuff is awful and half the amount ( 5.1oz vs. 3oz ) with a plastic package twice the size.... Garnier lost a long time customer. This was an extremely dissapointing move on Garniers part.
I agree with the other comments-Please bring back the Fiber Gum Putty!!!! I tried many different products before I found one that worked well with my hairstyle. I loved the way the Fiber Gum Putty held my hair in place without being too heavy or stiff. It was PERFECT!! I was very disappointed when I discovered that it was discontinued. None of the other Garnier Fructis products are a good replacement!
Why would you discontinue a perfectly great product and replace it with this stuff? Reasons why I don't like these new products: 1. Can't stand the smell. I'm a guy, but I hate cologne. These make me smell like I'm wearing cologne. And if I was wearing cologne, this would clash with the smell. 2. Nothing like the Fiber Gum products. 3. The jarred product is a huge jar with a tiny 'squirt' of product in it. Either that, or somebody's emptying it out before putting it on the shelf. 4. The short bottled product is very difficult to open when your hands are covered in it... the bottle slips out of your hands. I'm going back to generic gels that I can pickup at any drug store. I'm sick and tired of companies discontinuing their products, and in this case replacing them with sub-par products. Customer lost forever here.
Why would you discontinue a product that has worked so well? My fine hair was well suited for the fiber gum putty and it gave style without weighing it down. The new product is too odor strong and heavy. Not a good value. Very disappointed. Please bring the fiber gum putty back!
I agree with the other 45 reviews. The fiber gum putty was THE BEST PRODUCT GARNIER MADE!!! I will not buy any other Garnier products and will tell others until you can help us. PLEASE PLEASE BRING FIBER GUM PUTTY BACK. I want to be a Garnier product user for life.
