I've been buying this Sally Hansen body wax kit for over a decade, and love that I can easily wax at home instead of spending a ton of money to get it done professionally. I mainly use it for my armpits and the stray hairs under my eyebrows, but have also used on my bikini line and it works great there too.
NEVER EVER EVER BUY THIS PRODUCT EVER! I cant emphasize such a critical failure on whoever sally is, but also on walmart. this product will stick to your sick and everything around you. if you manage to make this awful mistake: 91% isoalcohol mixed with baby oil 50/50. rinse (will hurt) to dissolve off skin. WALMART YOU ARE PATHETIC for adding products and not reviewing its safety. shave and wait for quality waxing options, never get this in your lifetime. it doesnt remove hair, it just wastes HOURS of your life. 5 star to get your attention, no stars in reality. its so sad its legal for companies to post fake reviews. what a joke.
I won't be using this again. I only used it because I forgot to hot wax before a vacation and needed something quick. This sally wax was messy, not hot and left behind few hairs. It also HURT. It felt like it didn't want to let my skin go. Immediately after using, my skin was swollen, red, and prickly feeling. This is after I put on the included oil. The next day, the inflammation went away and I noticed 2 small tears/scars from where the hair ripped out. The 2nd day, my skin started peeling in the waxed areas. Then I broke out and had acne bumps. Everything except the acne took a couple of days to go away. I'm still dealing with the acne scars/skin discoloration. Thankfully, I dont think there will be any permanent marks once the discoloration goes away. I've never seen anything like this when I use my hot pot wax so I'll just stick with that.
This wax is extremely STICKY, it's so hard to remove, they recommend that you use finishing oil to remove but it only works so much, and it BURNS! Also, the wax removed small parts of my skin, left it inflamed and extremely red.
This product literally peeled the skin off of my legs! Just go get it done by a professional!!! I dont even have sensitive skin at all!!!
I purchased this wax to use on my arms. It explicitly states on the packaging that it "grabs hair, not skin". Not only did this wax leave me with burns from ripping my skin off, but it was all around a terrible experience. I followed the instructions and heated in short increments, allowed the wax to cool properly, and used the strips for removal. Once the wax cools slightly, it does not want to come off of your skin. Finally after multiple attempts to remove the wax, my skin came with it. A large part of my arm was red, swollen, and very irritated for 3 days. Now my skin is very dry and scaly from the burn. It burns when touched and wearing a long sleeve shirt is very irritating. I model for a living and take great care of my skin. This was a horrible experience and is probably going to leave a scar. Do not buy this. There are better brands out there that will not pull your skin off.
I didn't receive the product, it was delivered to the wrong address, I asked for a refund but they didn't give me the amount paid back
This product is terrible! First, the wax is sticky and will not come off without using oil! They supply a small bottle of oil that is not enough for one leg so I resorted to vegetable oil. My whole bathroom and everything I touched is sticky, and half of my leg is red and covered in bumps. As more time passes I'm getting red splotches and it's starting to sting... Hoping this is the worst of it. The wax took of my skin and overall this wax is terrible and not worth the money! Very disappointed and wish I could get a refund, but of course the container and everything else included is stuck to my towels at the moment!!!
so i decided to try out wax and got this brand. first off this stuff is SO STICKY, IT STICKS TO EVERYTHING and it wont come off. now im stuck with a glob of wax under my armpits because the wax strips didn't do their job properly. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA.
I have so many regrets buying this product. First, the product is so incredibly sticky, the moment you get it on your skin or other surfaces, it's near impossible yo get it off. Second, the strips didn't adhere to the wax at all... AT ALL. I followed the instructions to a T and all I have now is a very raw and beat up hoo-ha!! It's been 14 hours and it still hurts. Pretty sure it removed the top layer of my skin trying to get the wax off. Not worth it!
