I love this product. It has great protection for a great price. I wear it when I am working out or at the pool for complete protection from the sun. It's very hard to find a product with zinc in it and this one does.
I am sensitive to chemical sunscreens, but have to use them. Saw this at my local Walmart, and figured to give it a try. I is very thick, but they all are. What I like is that it is SPF50, which gives me a tiny bit of leeway to add some other moisturizer to thin if out slightly. Goes on white, but it disappears on my super pale skin. Used it for a week now, no adverse affects.
First of all, this is a physical UV blocker (ie Zinc), so you should expect it to leave a white cast on your skin. However, if you normally wear foundation then this isn't a problem. In fact, I like this better than the chemical sunscreens I've tried since those all seem to make your face look shiny, whereas this one dries to a matte finish. Also, I didn't notice any scent to this at all. Overall, very happy with this and a much better price than the CeraVe product.
This sunscreen is quite thick and takes a while to rub in. Once rubbed in you are left with a noticeable white cast. This was too heavy to wear under foundation. I bought about a year ago and used only a few times and it's now expired. I would not recommend or repurchase.
Horrible rash from this product. Not recommended. I have used other Zinc sunscreens without any problems.
I was in need of a new sunscreen for my face, and I usually use the Equate version of the Olay face sunscreen (which is great). However, I was in a rush and grabbed this one. HUGE MISTAKE. This sunscreen has anot odd smell which my husband describes as mustard, and I am convinced smells like macaroni salad. The product itself leaves a horrible white cast to my skin and it settles in every crease in your face and neck leaving horrible white lines of residue. Bottom line: don't buy this or you will become a macaroni salad smelling, pale ghost.
