But I have to say I have been using the Remington USB Clipper for several years now. It is a fine product and the only reason Im on this site is because I want to get another one. The one I have seems to be working just fine, but after three to four years this battery has to give out sometime right. So far so good. Anyway great product. Good job on the concept and application. USB charged Clippers, one of the best inventions ever.
As all the Remington products I bought over the years were, this one is great, too! The customer service was the best I've ever had, anytime, anywhere, by anyone! I am bald, so I use the stubble comb weekly, to give myself a haircut, and it's the most perfect haircut I've had, since turning bald.
This is definitely the top of all the hair trimmers I have ever used, USB charging is extremely convenient, The blades move forward to allow cleaning with water, that's the maximum of practicality and cleanness. The small remark I have is that the plastic Stubble Comb easily brakes if you carry the machine in a bag.
i ve just purchased a Remington Groom, and i have to say that i did not regret it. ive tried several other products from other companies, but they usually got stuck in my hair, (i have quite thick hard hair). But, surprisingly this modell works perfectily, it doesnt get stuck for a second. it is relatively cheap but surprisingly perfect for the job. so i can recommend it to everyone. also the wide range of lenghth is awesom.
So I bought this as a replacement for a Conair model that broke on me after only a year, and I have to say, this product is so much better than my previous one! The cordless function is great, and the USB charging is incredibly convenient. It also performs better than my previous product. All in all, I would definitely recommend this product!
I am really pleased so far. The blades are sharp and it cuts fast and smooth. It looks like a really good product and I hope it lasts me many years.
The beard comb´s "comb-part" is too long; it is too salient so to say. This problem makes it hard to trim the beard close to the nose, since the comb bumps against the nose before all the hair shafts have been cut. However, this is probably not a problem for a user that wants a stubble of 9 mm or longer.
Overall disappointed in the product. The adjustable sizes for the beard trimmer are too short for a "rugged" look, and the shortest attachment is much too long for a trim beard. Cutting hair, the attachment gets clogged unless only trimming back from a recent cut.
I purchased an HC-5950 model hair trimmer. it worked great for 2 years. then it failed. when I was using it, it was turning off automatically. so I had to keep start it over and over to finish cutting my hair. I took it back and they replaced the body (not the head). it worked great again, for another 2 year, and the same problem showed up again. now they refused to repair or replace, #1 they didn't give me a warranty on the second trimmer, so no purchase claim. #2 it is out of stock. not acceptable for a reputable company as Remington.
I purchased this because I thought the cordless feature would be convenient. The quality is terrible. The sliding length guards are difficult to snap into place and don't stay in place. As you are cutting, the guard tends to slide so you get uneven length... usually shorter than you intended. I would NOT recommend this clipper.
