This is the best fan to use next to your bed at night. It sits on my desk and doesn't move when I reach out to either turn it on or off at night. Would definitely recommend.
The Vornado Duo Compact tower circulator is very powerful for its size. It does a great job circulating the air and is so lightweight. It has 4 settings and isn't really loud even at the highest setting. It can sit vertically or horizontally and doesn't take up a lot of room. I was not aware of this product before, but I am glad I was given the chance to try it since I normally would have thought it was too small or not powerful enough to circulate the air, but it really is great. I would definitely recommend it for a small room and would buy it in the future. It works much better than my other fans that are bulky. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Happy with this duo compact tower circulator - efficient. When set at medium to low it is quiet.
This fan rocks. Don't care if the current nametag is "air circulator", it's still a fan and this one is awesome. It's very difficult to find a fan that fits in that one, perfect spot and that's why I bought it. I needed a bedside fan that could be targeted to the middle of my body. It had to be able to lie on its side in order to fit in the shelf by my bed. The way the louvers are pointed on this fan makes it perfect; it's laid down on the shelf with the louvers pointed downward, so it targets the exact area I need a bit of extra cooling. Being able to target it this way is crucial, because I can't have a fan blowing in my face; gives me a sinus headache due to drying out the nasal passages. The multiple speeds allow me to adjust according the the room's temperature, or my own. It's quiet and let's be honest; it's a Vornado, so it is going to serve its purpose flawlessly for many years to come. This is my fourth Vornado fan and I no longer buy any other brand.
I like the fact that it takes up little space but has great air circulation... especially in a tight office environment with no or little shelf space .
This is a replacement for the same model that served me well for many years. It's compact size and 4 speeds fit my tiny place perfectly. The styling is sleek. I like that I can sit in front and get blasted on Turbo or leave it on low and sleep cool. And with a 5 year warranty, I am confident this unit will give years of service.
I bought the Duo Compact Tower Circulator about a week ago and I am flabbergasted by the quiet operation and the location versatility of the fan. I have three Zippy personal fans that work well, but their footprints and open blades on my computer desk are rather pesky. This tower lies flat and fits under my monitors that are elevated by their stand. The tower's fan is enclosed and easy TV-viewing quiet on its lower two settings. The air push is exceptional and at the lowest setting you get a steady cooling flow. Vornado's build quality is second to none. The only desires I have left with this compact unit is maybe the possibility of oscillation and remote control. Regardless, it is a great fan and does the job admirably.
I love this fan I ordered one to replace the one I had because it started making a weird noise because I have on 24/7 for my long haired German Shepard. I was disappointed when I got my new one had it 1 week and it fell apart so not sure if I want to order another one. It's really hot and it's only going to get hotter.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first turned the fan on, I was blown away! No pun intended. It moves a huge amount of air. Even on the lowest setting, it has a nice breeze and is nearly silent. That's the good. I found a few annoyances with the fan that unfortunately detracted from it. First, the fan really only blows to the left if you have it pressed up against a wall with the base. You could flip the fan on its side and lay it on the other side of the cleverly designed base, but then it takes up a lot of surface area. This is the biggest issue I have as I wanted to try it on the other side of my bed but it doesn't fully rotate around. Second, the fan occasionally makes a rattling noise like it's unbalanced. A quick tap and it quiets down but it happens spontaneously and defeats the purpose of it being such a wonderfully silent fan. Maybe I just got a bum fan? Minor issues: I'm not as thrilled about are the BRIGHT blue LEDs that indicate the speed of the fan. They are bright enough to disturb sleep. Not a problem if used in an office. The buttons beep loudly when changing speeds. Not a huge problem, but a little annoying both in a bedroom and office. I prefer just a mechanical, quiet, non-lit dial to select the speed. This could be such a great fan because it moves a TON of air. Sadly, this permutation doesn't fit my needs.
i was lucky to get it. it was left out by the road where anyone could have picked it up. i ordered one , got two. waiting to see if i was charged for the second one. i like the fan it self.
