I purchased the Fellowes Galaxy 500 on Oct. 12, 2011. I bind approx. x 20 - 3/8" manuals a month. This machine worked great until about Feb. 2012 and I started noticing that the binding portion of the machine was getting harder and harder to open the comb binds. Then it eventually stopped opening the comb binds all together. The machine is mostly light plastic and I don't want to pull down too hard or I am going to break the comb binding Handle! It's totally stuck now and won't open. If you are looking for a heavy duty, long lasting comb binding machine... This isn't it! The last binding machine I had lasted 10 years... 4 months with this one, 4 months... terrible. Will never buy fellowes again.
