These are great and so easy to install. They can be placed anywhere in your bird cage. Our birds love them.
We purchased a large flight cage (Christmas Present for my wife) for her two new Canaries, and it was missing one of the standard 'across the cage' dowel rod type of perches that was to have come with it. My wife stopped by the local Wal-Mart to see what 'goodies' they carried, and they had one of these, so she purchased it and brought it home to see if it would work for us. The birds loved it, and so did we. We liked the way it attaches easily to only one cage wall, and the birds seem to like to stand on the end of the branches, in the middle of the cage. They fly from one to the other, and to another. We placed two of them near their big SS eating bowls (see picture). The fork in the end seems to please them well. We liked it so well, as did they, that we ordered and purchased 4 more from the other 3 Wal-Marts within 35 miles, for a total of 5 branches. Love that they are real branches, not plastic etc.
My parakeets love these branches I took out the ones that came with their cage and got 2 of these they much rather prefer these. Great price too. I definitely recommend
As soon as I put this in my parakeets cage they perched on it and started playing around on it. I love how easy it is to move around and clamp/screw to the cage. It seems very sturdy.
was told to remove it from the cage
This stupid thing will not stay attached to the cage it just wants to fall off so I don't get the point of the attachment just ended up laying in the cage and the bird could care less about it it's like top-heavy or something it won't stay no matter which way I turn it
poorly made. fell apart immediately. actually a minus star
Splitting and cracked not recommend could really hurt bird
My baby parakeet who has been with us a few weeks now was overjoyed to see her perch (not kidding) and though it was stressful for her (and me) to install it, I felt we finally had it to where she would have a fun place to perch, make her way comfortably through her cage, and trim her nails since she still won't let us anywhere near her with a file or pair of clippers. About two hours later, I noticed she was falling off her perch. I figured I put it in a difficult place for her to get around so I adjusted it. Then I finally realized she couldn't grasp the perch! She was sliding down the wood as she tried to climb and eventually fell and landed ON HER SHOULDER!!! I was prepared to take her to the vet but after removing the perch PROMPTLY and replacing it with her rope perch I noticed she seemed fine.
The little screw part came off like on the second day
