Bose - Smart Speaker 500 Wireless All-In-One Smart Speaker - Triple Black

We bought a Bose Soundbar 600 as our old B&M one was well useless, the 600 was great but the sound was all in front of you so we added the bass Module 500 box which gave us sound from different areas of the room, but it still lacked "something" so we added the small Surround Speakers and they you go that was the "something" you now hear sound all around you. Impressed with the sound that much we bought a Smart speaker 500 for the kitchen easily grouped for sound now in the kitchen and lounge you can also set which is the "master" to control the group, realising quickly although the smart 500 gives out brilliant sound again it was from one direction so we added a 2nd Smart 500 and what a sound in the kitchen now so both my wife and I can listen in both rooms, the smart speaker system is brilliant as it groups anywhere it can pick up your wifi, bring them into your living room with the rest of the kit and you have a superb immersive sound all around you, these two Smart 500 speakers are brilliant for that, plus you can ungroup and use either one of them or group just those two 500 Smarts, it is brilliant, well done Bose VERY impressed in deed the louder it goes the better it sounds.

I was so excited to get the Bose Home Speaker 500. This is a smart speaker with google assistant voice control built in. You can also pair this great speaker with your Amazon Alexa. The speaker appears to be superb quality and has a seamless anodized aluminum body giving it a beautiful finish. It is quite heavy too and would be difficult for animals to knock over. The sound that comes from this speaker is simply amazing. It is very loud and crisp. Inside the wireless speaker are two custom drivers that point in opposite directions for the purpose of bouncing sound off the walls. Since Google Assistant is built-in you will have access to any song or playlist. The device is great at hearing you speak, even if the volume is turned loud. This is accomplished by eight microphones that are located on it. The device is easy to use and pretty self-explanatory. You can control it from controls located on the top of the speaker or you should also be able to control it from the Bose Music app, which is a recommended download to your phone. You may also choose to use wi-fi, Bluetooth, or Apple AirPlay 2 - all of which are compatible. You may also choose to play from Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, or anything stored on your smart device. The speaker has the capability to set up to six different presets. You could choose to set them to playlists, internet radio stations, etc. You can also access any number of things, such as weather reports and setting timers. My only complaint so far with this great speaker is the Bose Music app. It is my understanding that the app can act as a remote control; however, mine will not work. I have downloaded the app and created an account but every single time I attempt to sign it it tells me there is a problem and to try again later. I have googled this problem and have yet to see a solution on how to make the app work. All in all, the speaker is amazing. The app may still have issues to work through.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last weekend to replace a 15 (!) year old wave system which - although still wonderful - sad idly most evenings as I no longer play music via CD, but instead stream online. The new home speaker is smaller, looks better, but delivers an even greater sound. We have had it playing almost every waking minute since last Sunday. Easy to set up, connect to WiFi and to set presets. The sound quality goes without saying quite frankly- it's Bose so it's impeccable - and particularly for my classical music listening offers phenomenal clarity and quiet and loud volumes, at high and low pitches. The app works perfectly, Spotify streaming working as it should. I love it. Thanks, Bose.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our first Bose purchase. What a thing! Fills the room with high quality sound and actually does give stereo sound which is very interesting. If you're using a Samsung android telephone to set the thing up, a word to the wise switch from their own web browser to Google Chrome or you will have (like us) hours of madness. The set up should only take seconds in reality but you live and learn. The unit is well built and looks good.
