Gift for a 5 year old that loves to dance. As soon as her dad hung the wall mount (not included) and updated she had the music on and danced in her room. She and her older sister can play their own music.

i had a google home mini and it could never play specific songs i wanted. my siri homepod is great, i can connect my phone right to it
The HomePod mini is amazing. For such a small speaker, it sure has tons of bass. If it's too much for you, there is a reduce bass switch in the home app. Music is just amazing on this. Will be getting more later. Do update the HomePod mini as mine was a year out of date. And if you update it, you'll get the thermometer and humidity working.
This has a great sound and I love being able to have Siri in my bathroom to play music and for when I randomly remember things in the shower.
I told myself when home pods came out I'm not going to get one. I finally decided to get one and in my opinion I like them more than Alexa dots and Google nests. As we have an older house with a lot of smart home products. The Apple home pod mini definitely improves my experience with all of the products. I would and plan to buy more soon.
It's a great addition to your Apple products, but it's an accessory. The more speakers the better, but Siri sometimes has a hard time understanding you compared to Google. The sound is really good. The intercom feature is convenient too.
Title says it all. Very pleased with the sound quality for a little speaker as such however very displeased that THIS HomePod is Apple's first shot at Siri's integration with day-to-day home life? Booo. Music handoff lags and sometimes just doesn't work, Siri struggles to hear my voice from 5-6 feet away and more saddening is the need for certain results to be viewed on my iPhone with a second reiteration of the same question per HomePod Siri's instruction. I hope the $299 is better. This one goes back. Did I mention great sound? Google Home Mini circa 2018 puts it to shame for half the cost.
It's a nice speaker for a small room, definitely not for outdoors. We wanted one for the pool and being that is so small we were surprised that it's not chargeable, it needs to be connected to power outlet and it wasn't loud enough. for me the price is too high, there are better options out there. We also ordered it online and when we got it it was an obvious return, I took it back to the store and they refuse the return because the serial number is so small they couldn't read it, but I was able to return it by mail.
I've been using two Homepods as a stereo pair for about a month. Sound quality is good, but it lacks in volume. Even with two, it's barely loud enough to hear over a shower. Honestly regret every buying these. A 3 year old bluetooth speaker is much more useful, for me.
