tried this out today on our 1998 Toyota Camry. works great and easy to use. I just poured a little dab on a old towel, using circular motion worked it around and around on about half of the headlight. could see the discoloration disappearing as i used it. did the same for the other half and a nice shiny like-new headlight was there. for the second headlight i tried it a bit different, i smeared the Rain-x compound over the entire headlight and let it sit for a few minutes, then started with a fresh dab of compound , using the circular motions and it seemed easier to rub off the discoloration. we now have 2 clear and bright headlights. works great and easy to use. none of the multiple applications and buffing like so many of the other products require. see the pictures, before and after, works great!
My family has used RainX for many years. I was anxious to see if this product was as good or better. I was not disappointed. My apartment is quite close to Port Authority Light rail train tracks. The gunk on my windows is gritty. I was anxious to see if XTREME CLEAN could master it. Very pleased with the results as you can see in the picture.
We used this product on our cloudy headlights. We tried it on the worst one first, but didn't think to take a picture. We took a picture of the headlight that wasn't as bad, but you can still tell how well it works. This stuff really shined up the headlights. This won't work for cloudiness inside the headlight unless you take it off to clean it. My cloudiness was on the outside and this did amazing clearing that up. We would definitely recommend and purchase!
I've always been a fan of the Rain-X products and this one is no exception. Windshields were becoming foggy with mineral build up & harsh AZ sun. This solution did the job, then applied the Rain-X Original Treatment. Took some time & elbow grease but if you take pride in your vehicle, well worth it!
I live in a very rural area on a gravel road so my car is always pretty grimy and my headlights are dull and hazy. Rain-X X-Treme cleaner works amazingly well to remove the road grit, salt residue, bugs, and haze on my headlights and windshield. The cleaner is easy to apply but can dry quickly and takes some rubbing to remove. I wiped it on with a damp microfiber cloth in small circular motions until the whole area was covered. Then I used another damp microfiber cloth and water to remove it and buffed it afterward with a dry cloth. Like I said, it takes a bit of rubbing but it makes a really big difference in the clarity of my windshield and headlights and will hopefully keep them cleaner and less grimy going forward. It also worked great on the rear window of my SUV which always gets covered in road dust. I am really impressed with how easily this cleaner removes stuck-on bugs and doesn't leave a streaky appearance on plastic or glass.
The Rain-X X-Treme Clean Clear Surface Cleaner 12 oz. Bottle - 5080217W is another great product from the Rain X line of products. I used this to restore the headlights on an old truck we own. It works well, just be prepared to use a lot of elbow grease to make little circles in order to get the product to work properly.
I figured I'd give the Rain-X X-Treme Clean Clear Surface Cleaner, a challenge and try it on my son's old 2001 Neon. What a great surprise! It cleaned very well, as you can see from the before and after pictures, I waited over a week to see if it would last, and it did! I also tried it on my Honda Fit which was just starting to get discolored - same results. I'd say this will get out at least 90% of the discoloration, so I'd certainly suggest this to anyone, and I'll be having it in stock in my garage!
I have tried so many products like this that didn't work so I was shocked when this one did!! I can actually see at night now lol. I've sent pictures to my friends/ family, I'm amazed- this was one application-pictures included. So quick and easy to use!! Get this stuff!!!!
I used this in my back windshield and back lights and it actually works. I was a little skeptical but it does work. You do have to use a lot of elbow grease, though. And once you have applied and rinse, make sure you get the excess off when you are drying. I noticed a few places still had a little bit of leftovers from when I first applied but you just have to make sure to pay attention to the details and remove it all. It works! My dull back windshield looks brand new now!
I have used this product a couple of times since receiving from Walmart. With the RainX brand I expected a quality product. It does the job as expected. There is definitely a discernible difference in clarity after use. I have tried the product on a couple of auto windshields as well as the exterior windows on the house. It applies easy, although recommend using a very damp clothe. Do not apply in direct sunlight on a windshield. The product will dry and be somewhat difficult to wipe clean.
