I was very surprised that this broom was so inexpensive, and really worth its quality
I purchased this broom and dust pan as I was moving and I KNEW I needed a new one ... shopping online for a broom can be tough (you can't touch the bristles and/or feel how soft or stiff and sturdy they . . . The price WAS awesome - The broom and dust pan are both great to look at - the broom does a semi-good job - (the bristles are way too soft for what I wanted, however, it did the job) ... the dust pan, (I have to mention I didn't even NEED the dustpan, but trying to keep it real - the rubber gripper on the end is NOT flat or smooth - and it's difficult to pick up what you've swept. My feeling is, Walmart isn't at fault here, The manufacturer is ... AND I Have no business complaining, I was trying to buy the cheapest!
I bought this Mainstays broom for cleaning up small areas in the garage. Appears to be adequately manufactured and it is light weight. Hanging the broom on the wall in the garage did not require a heavy duty wall mount. $7.00 for a broom and durable plastic dust pan that can be conveniently mounted is a good deal.

It's light, it does the job. I have yet to find a really well-made broom. This is your standard, basic garden variety made-in-China broom. Not enough bristles in my opinion and the plastic seems cheap. It came with a dust pan and will probably last a year or so like the others. Decent value for the price. I was a little disappointed that they shipped this one small broom in a gigantic box. I had placed a fairly large order and each and every item was shipped separately. Silly.
I bought this for the master bathroom which also houses the cat litter box. Not wanting to walk in nor track cat litter, I need a broom and dust pan in there. It works well, gets up all the grit without leaving any behind. Pretty good for the price.
The only complain I really had is that it didn't come in red to match my kitchen. Also when it came there was a bit of damage on the rubber part of the dustpan making it alittle hard to sweep properly. But overall I'm satisfied.
Definitely cleans, but the bristles got all frayed after the first use. I have a small 1 bedroom apartment with wooden & tile floors. So It's not like I used the thing all over a mansion lol I am keeping it cause I don't want to go thru the trouble of shipping it back and I can't remember the brand of my old broom that I really liked.
The bristles are too soft to really work well on hard floors, it leaves a lot of dirt and dust behind. Also the dustpan that comes with is really thin and bends very easily, just when you need it to be rigid to pick up dirt. It was very cheap, and I was just looking for a simple house broom, but I should have spent more for a good one. I will try to use it on the porch instead.
Broom came in hot pink instead of blue like I thought I was ordering. It was crooked or bent when it came in.
