Perfect for cotton balls and q-tips.
If you use cotton balls, this is much better than pulling them out of a bag or box.
It is a very nice looking container, just smaller than I expected. Matches nicely with the other canopy items in my bathroom

The Classic Vintage Cotton Ball Holder is a good size. The dimensions of the holder itself (without the lid) are 11 3/4" in diameter and 3 1/8" high. In addition to cotton balls, it will hold a lot of q-tips! It is also heavier than it looks. I like the overall attractive appearance of it, and I do not mind leaving it displayed on the bathroom counter.
The cotton ball holder that I ordered was indescribable. I say that because it arrived in about a million little pieces. I will try ordering it again but I also bought a set of glassware that same day and when I opened the box at home, one of them was cracked too. Should have opened the box in the store to be sure that they were alright I guess. Lesson learned. I have had a run of bad luck with broken items at our local Wal-mart and you can't check everything before you buy it.
