Like some other reviewers, I found these shoes small for the first few wearings BUT that thick inner sole begins to conform to your foot rather quickly. I now wear these shoes with knee socks without suffering tightness. I loved the look of these shoes and wouldn't give them up. Now I'm so glad I have them--and I have a terrible bunion.
I like these shoes because they are so comfortable
I have this shoe in so many colors and finishes-I love it. It took a few tries-I even bought the "Jupiter" a while back but now this is my go-to easy daily shoe. I'm in my 60's with arthritis and I need a well-balanced comfort shoe. The toe box is good-roomy with a nice height to prevent pressing down on the toes-which I find very unpleasant. I usually wear a 7 M-and occasionally-depending on the style-a Wide. ( This is usually in Clarks or Duryea-for reference.) With this shoe I always wear a 7 1/2 Medium. They hold up pretty well, too. The Metallic-circle embossed leather does especially well-even in the rain. I'm not saying it is waterproof-just doesn't fall apart if you get them wet-a plus.
Put them on and immediately felt like I was walking on a cloud. Then I spent about 12 hours on my feet wearing them--and oh soooo comfortable!!
Although these aren't the snazziest shoes around, they are very comfortable. I have painful feet (bunions, corns, etc.), and I walk a lot. This is about my eighth pair of these ((twice had to replace because my puppy chewed them). If I didn't have these shoes, I would want them!
I've bought this shoe- a size 6 extra wide because of my bunions. It's 1cm too long. My heels slip out when I walk. I've to stick on 2 layers of anti heel slip so that I could wear thin invisible socks. Without the Mary Jane strap as in the Jupiter style which I've also bought, it's a bit hard to keep my heels in without the anti heel slip. Apparently, smaller than size 6 do not come in extra wide when I bought this. However, the toe box is roomy for my toes & bunions which is great.This shoe is true in length, so check your feet with the socks you intend to wear to get the right fit.
I ordered a 1/2 size up, but, could not even get on my foot with the liner in. Fit great without it, but, not going to be soft to walk on with no liner! Not sure if I will keep or not.
I purchased a whole size larger and they still didn't work. The width was fine, but the instep and length were too tight. If I exchange for something larger, im sure there will be a similar issue. The cushioning is too thick and the cut does not compensate for this. Not worth the time, money, and hassle.
The padding is so thick I couldn't get the shoe on my foot! I wear a 9 1/2 M I bought the same shoe a few years ago and it fit perfectly and was very comfortable. Very disappointed.
I can't believe how small this shoe is. I ordered a half size larger, a 9 instead of a 8 1/2. I can't even get it on my foot. A lady I know wears a 7 and it would not fit her foot. Bad design, bad fit. I want my money back. How do I exchange.
