If you open your mind and are paying attention to the world around us, then AI will hit your mind and heart. On one hand, this is a beautiful modern fairy tale. On the other hand, AI is a very serious and important warning message, urging us to push the boundary of technology with responsibility and foresight. When I first saw this movie in 2001, I thought it was entertaining, but had its flaws. 13 years later, I felt an urge to watch it again as AI and robotics are really starting to take off. So instead of rating this movie on rather shallower movie-making technicalities, I'd rather rate it on relevance for culture and society in this decade; on relevance to help us make better decisions that will impact our next decade and generations. Within that lens, AI deserves 6 out of 5 stars. Five stars for the vision, the sixth star for the heart.
A very good cautionary tale of where A.I. may take us some day. Hailey Joe Osmond is excellent in this movie.
EXCELLENT MOVIE .The odds are that your watch this movie over and over .
Outstanding science-fiction movie
