So far so good! I have to admit that not all goods created equal - some are really worth money you pay for them. This is the case when I feel a respect to the manufacturer and total satisfaction of the purchase. It's not only perfectly functional but also a visual entertainment - during the water heating process you can see how the colors are changing from blue to violet and to red when the water is boiling (you see that through that matte plastic part with the measurements). Also you'll hear the special sound when the water is ready for brewing. The kettle toggle switch works down (to boil the water completely) and up to keep the water hot enough to brew instant coffee or some other drinks which require hot but non-boiling water). I use toggle down most of the time and it works like clock. By the way I bought DeLonghi juice extractor from Amazon several days ago and without doubt I see the high standard which this brand represents. From now on I'm going to consider DeLonghi among the ones I would prefer to buy from.
Bought this to replace an old GE Kettle that was on / off. This one has down for boil, up for keep warm, beeps when it's properly on the heating element, etc. etc. I love it, don't get me wrong - I've used it full every time and it always heats up fast. That having been said, does the inside really need to change colors to tell me how hot the water is? Feature-rich!
I love hot tea and but my stove top kettle took a very long time to heat the water to boiling - about 25 minutes. Because of the price reduction on this item I decided to give it a try. I was so pleased to find that it heats water to a boil in approximately 4 minutes! I drink different types of tea and some - such as green teas - are brewed at a lower temperature, so I am VERY pleased with the feature that allows me to choose for the water to only be heated to 180 degrees for those particular teas. I also like that it keeps the water warm and ready for my second cup! I use this kettle every day and am very pleased with it. I would definitely recommend it!
The color change is the most attactive part of this product. You have an idea about the water temperature by looking at the kettle when it's plugged in. Looks very nice, good as a gift too.
It is efficient and the design makes it easy to clean. It was less than half the price of the same model at other nearby stores. Because of its large capacity I can boil enough water for multiple cups of instant coffee before I need to refill it. I am very pleased with it.
I've only had it several weeks but it has been an excellent kettle to heat water. I only fill it about a third of the way and it has it boiling in several minutes and then it shuts off automatically which is a great feature. You can either leave it off or flip up the switch to keep the water hot. If I would have any complaints it is a little on the heavy side. I would like to see a little smaller version made with the same features.
I am a Brit... I always need a hot water kettle for my tea .... This is BRILLIANT .. When boiling the light color changes to indicate how hot the water is ... And goes red when close to boiled ... There is a warm water setting to allow water to be kept at the right temperature for tea infusion .... It looks good and is way beyond my expectations!

BPA-free plastic, light grey and clear, forms the handle, the inset gizmo on the lid that opens the lid, and the back and front windows. Water capacity in increments up to 60 oz. and 1.7 l. clearly visible on both windows. FUNCTION Positive: Operates efficiently and quietly, with automatic shut-off feature. On-and-off push lever can be set to control and/or maintain water temperature for black and green tea and shows red or blue according to temperature selected. Negative: The removable filter is flimsy with a less-than-snug fit, adequate at best. The design of the round inset gizmo that opens the lid is better in theory than in practice. Those with long fingernails beware. So far, one month after purchase, it is stiff and tricky to release. Perhaps continued usage will loosen it. UNIQUE ILLUMINATION FEATURE As water boils and the temperature changes, there is a dazzling light show across the color spectrum from clear water to multiple shades of greens-blues-purples-oranges and the final red hot flourish when boiling is achieved. You know “where you're at” as the water boils and, while not necessary for the end result, this jazzy added attraction provides that unexpected, extra measure of pleasure. After all, whoever dreamed that boiling water could be fun and games? A real hoot!
It is a lot of fun, very quick at heating water. Faster than microwave or stove. Disappointed that it is mostly plastic on the inside. Does build deposits quickly. I just use straight white vinegar and bottle brush. Comes right off. Great for making pasta too, it is a lot faster to heat water and pour in pan and cook in pot from there. Has colored lights on side that indicate water temperature. Very happy with it. Got it to take on trip because no microwave in Hotel room.
Wallmart website says that DeLonghi Electric Kettle, DK350 is a Stainless Steel Kettle, but it is absolutely wrong. All inner surface (which in contact with water) made out of plastic and outer surface, which is in contact just with air is a stainless steel. Wallmart cannot call it Stainless Steel Kettle.
