This product was exactly what I expected from the description. It has definitely added extra comfort to our fold-out sofa bed. I can't believe that a $100 2"foam pad from any other department store could beat this pad for comfort and value. We had a guest this past week who used the sofa bed and remarked how comfortable it now was. I did not find any objectionable odor (mentioned by others) when I opened the package; however, I left it out in another room for 24 hours just to let it recover from its confined packaging, which it did. I am very happy with my purchase and have already recommended it to others.
I was very skeptial if this 2" foam topper would have a impact on my sleeping pattern. This this is AWESOME. I highly recommend it. It did not have a smell when I removed the plastic but I have really bad allergies so I just let it air out anyway for 4 days then I put it on my bed I did follow the advice to get a queen size for a full size bed I wish I would have gotten the full size now because it over hangs but anywho you can always trim it back. I SLEPT like a baby. I have a firm spring mattress and I was having pains in my hip I also put a slighly padded mattress cover over it. I can't tell you how comfortable this has made my bed I actually don't want to get out of the bed now is is soft and pillowy not that you sink down into it it is like come lay on me take a load off and you don't want to move from your spot once you get situated. You will not regret this purchase I love it and Walmart for supplying a quality product that is affordable. Thanks Wal-mart
I bought this to try to alleviate the pressure on my shoulders and back from our new very firm (VERY FIRM!) mattress. I figured I'd try the $26 price point before I went even higher. I put it on the bed the first day I received it and felt relief the next morning! I was even more impressed after the end of the first week. I was worried after I took it out of the box and saw it looked thin and squished, but it filled out even more after a few days of use (like the instructions recommended) and I couldn't be happier! Great buy and great product! It saved me the time and expense of trying to trade in the mattress. I'd recommend trying this topper before you try any other-you can't lose based on the price alone! It was also the best price at Walmart over any other site I found.
My bed springs were killing me and I was looking at toppers and thinking about buying one of those expensive 3 " ones, but instead chose this inexpensive one with a cotton padded mattress pad and I am glad I went the inexpensive way because it worked out great. I can sleep comfortably in my bed now. No more waking up with sore arms or lower back. I don't feel the springs in my mattress anymore and it is comfortably soft now. I spent only $40.00 and I am happy.
I read the reviews on this before we purchased it, so I laid it out on our guest bed for a few days to regain shape and get rid of the odor (not very strong) that everyone else suggested. We had bought a brand new Serta pillow-top mattress set back in '05, but my fiance just couldn't sleep on it anymore. It had gotten so bad that he reverted to sleeping in the guest room! Enough was enough, so someone suggested we try an inexpensive foam topper in between the mattress and pillow-top mattress pad. Couldn't have been a better choice! I don't really notice the individual "zones" but what I immediately noticed was what a difference it made from night one! My fiance and I now sleep through the night without tossing or turning, or complaining of back pain as before. I would definitely recommend this product. Its not a permanent solution, and we may have to buy another one before we take the plunge and upgrade mattresses, but in the meantime, it does the job very well. Overall, we are very pleased with our purchase!
My doctor recommended that I get an egg crate mattress topper. This one is comfortable and gives me added support for my back. It did not have an odor and it fits the bed well. It is much cheaper than getting an air mattress. I also bought this brand because it is made in the USA.
The foam is very thin, Even when we doubled it and put it on our grandson's twin bed, it still wasn't very comfortable. The mattress was still hard even with the foam placed upon it. My grandson said he felt very little, if any, difference in the comfort level.
I was asked by care facility to provide egg-crate for use on floor to protect from falling out of bed. Purchased this item on-line. It is described as 2 inch pad. Most of the pad is 1/4 inch with convoluted ridges of various heights, a few of which are 2 inches. It may be okay for its intended use as bed pad.
Because this foam topper had a 4-star review, I decided to give this topper a try. Like other reviewers stated, there is an odor that comes with the foam topper. That is expected for all foam toppers though. The odor didn't bother me; it disappeared in a few days. In terms of appearance, the topper looked more as if it was 1-1.5" instead of 2 inches. The bumps of the topper can easily be felt; they are not discreet at all when you're sleeping on the topper. Comfort-wise, this topper did NOT make the cut. I had a firm mattress, which is why I got a topper in the first place. I woke up with back pains day after day after putting the topper on. I kept telling myself to give the topper another try. I thought I'd get used to it. After a span of a week, I realized that the topper is not right for me. I didn't even get back aches when I sleep on my firm mattress WITHOUT the topper. Maybe the topper was just not right for my back, I don't know. But based on my experience, I'd pay an extra $10-$20 for a legit memory foam mattress topper. Foam toppers are just not effective for me.
It says 2 inch foam thickness, but in reality it is only 3/4" to an inch as the convolution takes up most of the foam and does not leave much behind. Stacked four of these on top of each other and probably getting a total of 4" depth. Would have rather of gotten all foam without the convolution to get the thickness we were desiring.
