The pots, pans and lids are great! We had Wearever products before and were very happy. The only negative is the serving spoons. They handles don't appear to be quality.
First, I bought the 2 qt sauce pan just to see how it works. By the time I could get back to the store to get more they were gone. I ABSOLUTELY love this product. It works great with my gas stove and holds heat like a wrought iron pan to keep your food warm. I hope they bring it back and expand it to bake ware. In the mean time get what you can it is so easy and convenient to cook with!
I have had this cookware set for over a year and have recently purchase a vacation home and I had to buy another set. You can cook and drain with each pot and pan. They clean up beautifully, but just a reminder, don't cook on high heat. They recommend medium and so do I. Nothing sticks. I just love them.
I almost bought a different brand because I had never heard of Wearever. The other brands are more well known and have a great reputation. What attracted me to this set was the non-stick lining and the holes in the side of the lids to pour off liquids without having to transfer everything to a colander. This is so convenient and I didn't need to add a colander to my purchase or to my limited cabinet space. What you might not notice is that the lid can be turned so that the holes are lined up with the spout of the pot/pan to allow steam to escape. The holes are only on two sides of the lid. One side of the lid has small holes while the other side has larger holes, depending on the contents you are draining so that you don't lose the food through the holes. The design is great and so far there is no wear on the pot, even though I use them everyday. They still shine like new. No burn marks, no rust spots, no scratches, no tarnishing. The only thing I haven't tried yet is using it in the oven. I also like the transparent lids so that I can see the food without disturbing the cooking process. The price was right and has the above mentioned features that the other brands don't have. One set and it covers all my needs.
My mother bought me this set many years ago as a gift. I have used it daily since. The frying pan has just started to peel after many years of daily use. It would have lasted longer if my oldest son did not cook on high and left it burning with nothing in it. I never cooked in the frying pan higher than medium and it lasted all this time. I was amazed. Usually I have to replace frying pan yearly. But not with this set. I also love love love the pour spout! I recently went to florida and had to cook in their cookware and missed my spouts! They make it so nice when you realize you have too much liquid and need to quickly pour a little out. If you love pasta, you have to get this set. No more pouring into a strainer! Just pour out water and food is ready to eat. My set has been through so much. I even dropped them all the time and never dented. I was surprised the glass top did not break. Now I am on here buying a set for my daughter who has recently went out on her own and they are sold out. I did not realize until now you can even put them in the oven...I will have to try that some time. I am so glad to see they are still selling these sets!
This is a great set of pots and pans. I have used it for several years and have not had a single problem. It heats and cooks very evenly. And retains heat for awhile. The strainers on the lids and the spouts are extremely convenient and have many-many uses. The only negative thing is that the knobs on the lids can get so hot - you need to use a mitt to handle them. Also, I did not know it is oven safe. Now I'm gonna have to try it out in the oven.
Got this one year for Christmas. I hadn't really asked for pots/pans, but didn't really have a matching set and stepmom decided I needed one. I didn't think much of it at the time, but this is BY FAR the best gift she's ever given me. I liked it so much that when mom-in-law asked for pans the next year for Christmas, we went out and bought THIS set. And she just told me the other day (like 3 or 4 years later) that she STILL LOVES her set too. I love the straining feature. I love how easy they clean. Everything! I'm starting to lose some of the nonstick coating on the handle fasteners on the skillet, but it doesn't affect its use. Just showing its age. LOVE THIS SET!! Can't believe they dropped the price. BUY IT! You won't be disappointed.
I bought this set about 4 years ago and they are still like new. I'm adding more to my collection. The food doesn't stick so it makes cleaning easy. The strainers and pour spouts are so handy. I LOVE these! It's a great starter. They also sell individual pieces so that you can add to your collection. I would recommend these to everyone.
I have this set and I love it to death! I've been using them for a couple of years. They cook nice, clean up nice, and are easy to handle. The handles are long enough to stay cool. And I absolutely LOVE the strain and vent holes in the lids and the pouring spouts on the pans. I have never been disappointed in my set for one minute! Highly recommended! My only negative comment would be that the knobs on top of the lids do get too hot to handle if they are on too long. A pot holder works fine and I still love them!
Got 2 sets. One will go back-turned yellow first time used. Pitted pan bottom on low heat on new glass top stove. Handles great-only barely warm. Look good until you use them. Will only buy top rated pans in future. Worth it in the long run. Great price but too good to be true!
