I used this cook set for personal camping and loved it so much that we purchased several sets for our Boy Scout Troop. It packs up nicely so that it takes up minimal space in a cook box. Anything that can survive monthly camp outs with Boys Scouts has to be well made. The key to using this stainless set is to start with low heat. The heat transfers rapidly and evenly, due to the extra-thick bottoms. This set is a great addition to any cook box.
I have not used this set, this review is based on appearance when I recieved it. I am impressed on how nice this set is. I am gong to use it for my camp stove when I go camping. PROS: 1. Heavy and well made 2. 18/10 steel with a great clad bottom; previously owned a coated set and the coating was flaking off into the food, not a good situation, but with this set I do not have to worry 3. The universal handle is well made, seems heavy duty, not thin or cheap 4. The universal lid is awesome, and the frying pan creates a lid and Dutch Oven for the pot. The lid is thinner than I expected but it's just a lid so it's not a big deal to me. 5. I love how it nests together, great for taking on a camping trip, saves space. This is my favorite feature 6. I like how the interior of this set has a brushed finish, not a shiny finish CONS 1. At this time I do not have any cons This is a really great set. I reccommend this to any one, whether it's used for home or camping you will be impressed. I would not put this on a campfire, that is what cast iron is good for. I have been camping for over 10 years now and I owned many sets for use on my camp stove, this set seems it will be awesome and I will have it for a long time.
I purchased this set for our boy scout troop as replacements to our aging aluminum pots and pans. This set is well made and has the right size pots for a patrol of 6 - 8 boys. I also purchased a lager pot with a built in steamer and colander (Mainstays Stainless Steel 8-Quart Steamer set) that is perfect for cooking spaghetti, eggs in a bag, soup, stew and etc. The steamer tray is great for warming up bagel in the morning. On-line price for this item is $17.51. These two items are a GREAT value and a GREAT price. Note on the Stansport pot handle. Some reviewers commented that this is hard to use and difficult to insert into the pots. (only comes with one) Comments were also made that the handle does not store within the pot. I did not have any problem moving the pot handle from pot to pot. Attention to detail is required. I also had no problem storing the handle in the pots when stacked together and able to stow in one neat package. Semper Fi! FK
I received my order earlier than expected. I was very pleased with the quality of the product for such a low price. I called Stansport, the company that makes the cookware, to ask if I could purchase another handle and they offered to send me one for free! I am going camping this weekend and am looking forward to using them. I especially like the fact that the individual items nest together to save space. I would like to have another set for my home kitchen.
magma sets run about 300.00. Got this sweet set for less than 70.00. SS. Can use it on induction surfaces. Space saver.
I have been looking for a set like this and I can't wait to use it on our next camping trip. It stacks so neatly in my camp box leaving room for other needed things.

Best Cookware I've ever owned. I purchased a set for my house May, 2021 now im going to be ordering a second set for my camper.
Good quality product. I purchased these for my RV and love them. They nestle together and fit perfectly into my cabinet. The pans are sturdy and durable. The only thing I dislike is there is only 1 lid for the sauce pans and no lid for the frying pan or stock pot. You use the frying pan as a lid for the stock pot. There is also only 1 handle to share between all the pans. A little inconvenient if you're using several pans at once.
I purchased this set for my son for Christmas and really wanted one for myself. After a recent camping trip when my hodgepodge collection of pans failed me, I decided to purchase the set for myself. I paid $40 more for this set than I did for the one at Christmas, but I was willing to do so because the pans are such high-quality. The set arrived in the manufacturers packaging, and the box was all beat up . I was relieved that the largest part was not dented, but was very disappointed when I saw that the lid was badly banged up, dented in several places. I don't want to return this because I would like to be able to use it next week. So I am giving it four stars instead of five, to represent to be disappointment I'm getting the pans that I wanted with a badly dented lid. I would like the manufacturer to send me a new lid in exchange for this dented one but I don't see how I can make that happen. Amazon would've made that easy for me. I'm going to think twice before ordering through Walmart again.
