I bought this pan in the Chamblee Tucker WalMart (Georgia) for either $8 or $18 yesterday (9/14/9)!!!! This is a MUST HAVE for new age bakeries, like myself. It even has a recipe for the choclocate cake attached. I'll be making a 7up Poundcake with Lime Glaze today in my new pan!!!
Cake needs to be baked at a lower temperature because the pan is dark. Also, this is a 10-cup volume, rather than the normal 12-cup. Otherwise, the cake is beautiful as shown in advertising.
Makes such a beautiful cake. Very heavy duty. I would recommend this product to anyone ;)
Well made of cast iron...cakes pop out of pan very easily. Design makes beautiful cake! However, the pan seems to be a bit small for the recipes I use most often. An extra cup would be helpful.
This pan is more expensive but that is because it is a heavier pan which is truly non-stick compared to the less expensive version for $19.96. Granted you should still use cooking spray with this pan to ensure what you bake doesn't stick but this pan is a much better quality. If you used both pans side by side you would understand why this pan is better when you try to remove what you cook. Cleaning is much easier in all the crevices because this pan has a better non-stick coating also. I know this because I have used the 20 dollar pan and the 30 dollar pan.
