Awesome purchase, would highly recommend.
One of the best products out there (not in design), but in its performance. This is my second purchase. Very sturdy and flexible. I like to bend my phone in any direction and this offers that. But price could be less than 15$.
I bought this for my Iphone. I rigged it to use in the cup holder so I can see my phone while driving. I also used it for my Garmin GPS. I can't reach the windshield mount for the Garmin. This mount is long enough for me to reach it. The arm is very sturdy, the clamp holds well, and the suction thing holds well to the windshield. I highly recommend this product.
Absolutely love this item. Very durable, flexible and even fits my IPhone 4s with the case on.....
Great product for the money. The city I live in recently ordinanced the use of cell phones in the city limits without hands free devices. I hope to get much use from this product.
I chose another holder over this product because my Samsung Galaxy S3 with it's protective case is just too tight of and I was struggling to get it set in the spring-loaded grip without it popping back at me. But once it was in, it didn't budge. I gave it to my daughter who has a slightly narrower phone and it was a perfect match. So really measure carefully and if you're on the wider end of the measurement I do not recommend it. The arm is long enough to set on the windshield and have it reach out to the front edge of your dashboard (used it on my SUV).
I have an iphone 5s in a case and this holds it at the perfect spot in my car. This is my second purchase. My last Kensington quick release mount suction cup gave up after 2-3 years of never leaving my car. In my 2001 grand am it places the phone in a good spot. The bracket ratchets from horizontal to vertical very easily. The included vent clips don't work in my car but it is a nice option for those who need it. Love this bracket!
The website (both Kensington and Walmart) leads you to believe that this will work for up to an iPhone 6. However the item I received, its box states it fits up to an iPhone 4s, which shows how old this product is. An iPhone 4s is significantly less wide than a 6 (59mm vs 67mm). I had one of these before (must be an even older, or discontinued model), for many years, and it finally gave out. The arms the clamp the phone into place broke. I assumed buying what was currently offered (and because the Kensington website states it fits up to an iPhone 6), I would be ok) It fits the phone, but WAY too tight. Yes I have a case on it, but it's a thin case. I also had the same case on up until my last Kensington car mount broke. There will definitely not be any one handed or easy insertion of my phone into the mounting bracket. I will keep it though, because I have to, it's the only one I could find that's minimal in its design and has the arm long enough for my deep slanted windshield. Maybe it'll eventually loosen up and become easier to use, we'll see. Also: disappointed that the price was so high for something so old. (the date on the bottom of the box says 2011, so...).
Due to poor packaging and lack of packing material, car mount arrived broken. Returned for a refund. A very positive experience with store personnel when returning item. Bought a car mount from Scoche in my local Walmart store - just as good for the same price.
