The dial is large and the numbers are easy to read. It's far easier to use than high-tech timers because there are no buttons to push. Just twist the dial. The magnetic base is covered with heavy-duty rubber so you can attach it to the exhaust vent over your range without worrying about scratching. It has a longer ring than the old "single-ding and done" white plastic timers. If you are cooking something that takes a while like dried beans or stew, just set the timer and put it in your pocket and go about your business.
I love this timer, as it clearly shows the time remaining with a transparent red overlay. It keeps great time and is of good quality, EXCEPT for the cheap adhesive that adheres the magnet. I had it on the refrigerator and I heard something in the kitchen; the timer fell off of the magnetic disc. Great item, just needs better adhesive. I still love it and actually have two of them.
I used the magnet to attach the timer to the side of my fridg. The timer separated from the magnet and hit the floor and broke. Great. Now I have to make a trip to the store to return this piece of junk.
Just received mine. It looks good! Sleek, straight to the point, easy to use, like the orange, magnet is strong. MINE DOES NOT RING AT ALL! I TRIED DIFFERENT TIMES AND NOTHING! Not worth the money if you can't get it to work! I guess I have an expensive magnet!
