excellent product, this is my second one, the first one had an unfortuanate accicent. When looking for a replacement there was no question that this would be the brand I went with.

I've had a Kenmore kegerator for 15 years now. We loved it. Well I had to give that up in a divorce - Yeh I know, it hurt letting that go. So after doing lots of research on kegerators, seems the topics are Coldness, Space and design. Well this kegerator has it all and for the best price. This Kegerator holds a full coors light beveled keg, no problems. Beveragefactory.com is a real good site for displaying what types of kegs will fit. There has been lots of discussion about how cold the temperature reaches. True - you have to let the kegerator sit for about 8hrs if the kegerator was shipped and turned on its side, which it probably was. The oils in the compressor need to settle for the cooling to work properly. After waiting, let it run for 12 hours at least to adjust for Normal setting internal temperature. When my setting was at normal for 12 hours it was 45 degrees at the inside top space of kegerator. I turned the thermostat down between the normal and coldest setting. The internal temperature dropped to 37 degress. I like it really cold, so I turned it down a little bit more. Its now steady at 35 degrees. More comments. The Design of the kegerator is compact but very spacious. Seems they have learned a few lessons. 5pd CO2 canister fits inside no problems. Also there is more room for others drinks inside. Other kegerators have por design and are forced to put the CO2 canister strapped outside on the back. My opinion- They are trying to make it more sleek to put underneath countertops. One comment about the parts being packaged and missing. People are not looking in the beer tower for washers, screws and gasket. Its a little bag that they stuff up there. Although I not sure what they expect you to remove the beer faucet for cleaning, There used to be a tool that was used for that. This is now not being shipped. There are 4 holes to turn it with. I hope they don't expect the customer to user channel locks, for it may scratch the part. CO2 setting-- I like mine set to 7 or 8. Although it may come out slower, Patience. I get the perfect amount of head. AND, you and your guests will love it. Also you may be able to get more than 8 kegs out of the CO2 5pd canister. Hope this helps. JK

it looks great and functions well. in factory form it would not cool much lower then 40 degrees F you must recalibrate the temp controller screw, after doing that it would cool to temps lower then 28 F. make sure to do a copper pipe modification and insulate the tower to keep it cool. the factory regulator is not so accurate, if the gauge shows 9 psi it is actually around 10.5 . overall like it, i get a perfect pour all the time and sams club has the best deal on these right now. also so that you do not freeze up the cooling plate DONT OPEN THE DOOR.

Beer, as it was meant to be!

So far, so good. I'm on my second keg and love it. A lot of learning since I bought and started setting it up. I found CO2 at welding supply stores and bought a second tank. I don't know how long a tank lasts yet. 10 PSI works well, beer temp stays at 35-37 degrees. Different types of beer kegs require a different type of tap. The american sankey provided works with most domestic beers and some specialty beers. I've ordered 2 additional types. Lots of foam until you get the tilt right.

Bought this about 3-weeks ago. Assembled it the same night. Missing a couple of non essential parts. Plugged it in & set the thermostat @ the lowest setting. Next day, checked the temp. 32'. Got the co2 cylinder filled & bought a 1/2 keg. Installed the cylinder & tapped the keg & waited overnight. Temp @ 39', thermostat set @ lowest setting. Adjusted the set screw inside the thermometer per the service bulletin on Haier's website 1 full turn clockwise. Backed the setting up a bit from the lowest setting. It has held the temp @ 34' since & I still have room to lower it if necessary. I called customer service, #which some reviewers have blasted#, & dealt w/ a very professional / helpful man. He reviewed the missing parts list w/ me & said they would place the order right away. He said they would ship on Monday. #I called on Friday evening#. The parts arrived in 6-business days. No problems w/ customer service. So far the unit is working flawlessly. Couldn't be happier.

When the box arrived I was a little worried that the kegerator was damaged..but since it was double boxed and wrapped in bubble wrap it was in good shape. The only thing that I had to custom modify was one of the caster wheels had bent the receiving threads, so I removed that and put a nut and a few washers together to repair it..no big deal! The Kegerator does fluctuate in temperature alot (my thermostat is a few notches up from the coldest setting, I'm sure it will change in the winter when the house is cooler). It is very important to not open the door if you can help it. Also give the kegerator 48 hours to cool properly once the keg is installed. I have installed a wireless temperature monitor in the kegerator that has a high and low recorder for under $10, that way you can monitor the temp inside without opening the door. Also when the temperature of my house goes up during the day I am able to see how it affects temps inside. One other thing is to make sure there is enough air flow behind the kegerator. If it is too close to the wall it has a tough time dissipating heat, thus causing it to run alot. The coils get hot in the back, but I guess that is normal according to what I have researched. Since I have adjusted things (be patient) I have kept the temperature of my beer at 35-37 degrees F. It pours perfectly with only 6 lbs of pressure, could be different at higher and lower elevations (I'm at 8000'). Start out with low pressure and also let the keg sit in the kegerator for a few hours before you tap it, or else you will be filling a lot of pitchers and letting them settle. For the price you really can't go wrong..I did alot of research and read alot of reviews, so I thought I should share my experience so far with this product. Sure is nice pouring a frosty mug when you're thirsty!!

Works Great... with a few tweaks

This works great! The only issue that I have had was the thermostat didn't get the refrigerator down past 40 degrees. After doing some reading up online, I found that this is common, and what you need to do is take the thermostat off the back of the unit, open it up, and find the little screw on top of the unit. Clockwise twist will cause the thermostat to allow it to get cooler. I currently have mine set at a frosty 36 degrees...and its frosty-licious

Great Product - poor handling somewhere

First, the Kegerator is great, absolutely lives up to reviews, no problems with the Kegerator itself (sort of) My issues are with the handling of the item prior to delivery (and, that isn't necessarily "Sam's Club" oriented - unless they had it in their warehouse? The plastic drip pan (which is somewhat vital) is cracked in half (It captures water from the automatic defrost, and then it evaporates as the heat from the compressor heats up.) - I currently have been pulling out the Kegerator to check if it is leaking. There were superficial (and very minor) dents in the Kegerator - but its main purpose for me is alcohol - I am relatively sure it will get more as we go along. Easily fits what I need (3 home brew kegs, and has shelf for CO2. Needed to buy nothing additional to tap the first keg. Keeps at 35 deg (and I have it on normal - can get below freezing if you wish) - overall - Great value - just don't be disappointed with the handling - you may have some dings. The tray does bother me quite a bit. (I helped Fed Ex unload it off the truck - so, that wasn't the issue)

Poor excuse for a Kegerator

I had bought one of these a couple of years ago, and had nothing but trouble. Beer, on tap, is to be stored at 40 degrees F or lower. This unit would hold up for a couple of days and then the cooling panel, in the back, would freeze up. The unit would refrigerate to about 54 degrees F. The beer would get skunky. I would NOT reccomend buying one of these to ANYONE.

Never worked from the first day I plugged it in. Refused to cool at all, I even put a thermometer in it to make sure. Haier customer service is full of empty promises. Avoid at all costs.
