This brakleen works great, My husband really loves it. It not only works great on brake parts but it cleans the grease and grime off many of the other parts that he was working with. I asked him what was so great about it and he showed me how this product works so well that it removed rust too. I included photos so you can see for yourself. It really works and he is very happy with this product, he says works better that any he has ever used.
Not only will this clean your brake parts, it can also clean many items. It also kills Yellow Jackets ? Yes I have and it works. Best done at night at a distance. Works best if its cool outside as well. I have also used it to clean many things and leaves no residue. My garage couldnt function without it.
It actually works, I'm going to stock up while they still make the stuff.

This CRC 05089 Brakleen Non-Flammable Brake Parts Cleaner is one of the best brake parts cleaner I can find in the market. It remove debris, grease from all metal parts very easily and effectively, even some rust. I tried it on one of my heavily rusted rotors, it did a great job.
I've been using Brakleen for years when I do my brakes. It's great stuff. Be sure to put some paper below your brake job or you'll transfer all that gunk onto your driveway. Yes, I'm a driveway mechanic. Also be sure to wear eye protection. Getting this stuff in your eye is no joking matter. This brake cleaner really works. It removes all the greasy fingerprints you leave behind no matter how hard you try to keep your rotors clean. I've gotten in the habit of using latex gloves for the final pad and rotor install but even then I still end up with oil residue on the rotors. The last thing I do is spray the rotor with this cleaner and then I'm done - no oil residue.

Not just for cleaning brakes, also useful for getting grease off clothes, etc. Wear gloves and use it in a well ventilated area. Seems like a big can but it is easy to go through it quickly.
This was a fairly simple process. Wheel left on to clean brakes. Would be easier to remove wheel first. Seemingly straight forward process. Spray on, breaks down grease grime allow to dry. Wipe with a towel/rag if necessary. Rotors and parts are all sparkling ‘Kleen'! Be sure to avoid painted plastics and metals (auto body parts, etc). Strong spray and be sure to wear eye protection and gloves.
